Centre College Women's Golf

Jones joined the Centre Athletics staff in 2013 and was named the Director of Athletic Equipment and Assistant Men's and Women's Golf Coach in 2014. In his first year at Centre, David was the External Relations Intern where he was in charge of community relations, equipment, laundry and special events for athletics. Prior to coming to Centre in 2013, Jones was the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities at Eastern University in suburban Philadelphia. While at Eastern, he worked with the athletic facilities, game day management, athletic development and was the designer and project manager behind the Danny A. Hearing Indoor Golf Facility. Jones brings experience from his first job in college athletics where he was the Director of Operations for the Western Kentucky University baseball program. While working at WKU he was involved with Hilltopper Diamond Club, a fundraising arm of the program, team travel, field maintenance, and served as the equipment manager. A 2005 graduate of Southwestern High School where he became a four-year letter winner in Golf and was selected as all-region his junior and senior year. Jones was named to Commonwealth Journal All-County Team three straight years and was named the Society Charter Athlete of the Year for golf in 2004 and 2005. He also took and passed the Player Ability Test from the PGA in the summer of 2006 in St. Louis, Mo. at Eagle Springs Golf Club. Jones earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management with a minor in Athletic Coaching from Western Kentucky University in 2011.
