JH

Jay Hoffman

Head Coach

Hoffman has been the head coach of the Centre College women's soccer program since 2004. Coach Hoffman has spent his time trying to build a program that is based on high expectations, long lasting traditions and continual motivation. His passion for Centre stems from his belief in the school and all that it did for him. He could not be happier with the state of the program and the direction it continues to go. The highlight of his career came in the 2015 season, a year that saw the Colonels advance to the NCAA Final Four, the deepest postseason run in program history. That followed the 2014 season where the Colonels made a deep run into the NCAA Tournament and went to the Elite Eight, finishing just six minutes from reaching the Final Four. He truly believes that high expectations and team building activities have a significant role in the team's success. The past few years have been amazing for both the team and his players. A few of the highlights include: Coach Hoffman lives in Danville, Ky. with his wife Laura, his daughter Kate, and his other daughter, Rebecca Elizabeth Hoffman who was born on July 12, 2012. As well as being head coach for the Colonels, Coach Hoffman also coordinates the transportation for all of the athletics at Centre. When he is not on the field or in the office, Hoffman loves to play golf and take family trips. Two places he loves most are Disneyland and St. Simon's Island. Finally, Coach Hoffman could not be happier with the program and the successes his players are having post-Centre. He is thrilled that many are pursuing their dreams in medical schools, dental schools, law schools, becoming teachers, speech pathologists, working for large marketing firms, as well as pursuing doctorate programs. He is thrilled that these players continue to live through the Centre Women's Soccer way, which is with "All Heart".
