Citrus College Men's Golf

Horton also serves as the Head Men's Golf Coach and will begin his fifth season with that program in the Spring. Horton and the Owls are coming off the program's most successful two-year stretch in program history. During the 2014 campaign, Horton had two players qualify as individuals for the 2014 CCCAA State Championships where then freshmen Jamie Lopez and Lexandra So finished in 3rd and 4th place overall. Earlier in the year, So would win the 2014 WSC Individual Championships and the 2014 CCCAA SoCal Championships, while Lopez finished in fourth and third respectively.  In 2015, Horton took the Owls even further, as Citrus qualified for the 2015 CCCAA State Championships as a team. Citrus went on to finish as the State Runner-Up. Individually, Horton helped Coach Lopez to a 2nd place individual finish at the 2015 CCCAA State Championships and So to a 4th place finish.  An alumnus of Citrus, Horton attended Cal Poly Pomona where he graduated in 2005 with a Bachelors Degree in Communications. Along with his duties with the mens and womens teams, Horton also works as the Citrus College Athletic Department Facilities Supervisor. Horton and his wife Janelle, reside in Rancho Cucamonga, CA with their two daughters Kayla and Catherine Carol.
