Coach Griffiths came to CMS from Denison University, where he served as assistant coach. During his three-year tenure, the school claimed its first NCAA Division III team title (2001 women), and snagged four additional runner-up trophies between the men's and women's teams. He worked with swimmers who produced 81 All-American performances, 21 national championship swims, 10 NCAA meet records, and 3 NCAA Swimmer-of-the-Year awards. Prior to entering collegiate coaching, Griffiths was head swim coach and assistant aquatic director at the Oshkosh, Wisconsin YMCA. Under Griffiths the team won its first Wisconsin YMCA State Senior Meet championship. Additionally, the Oshkosh masters swim team he coached produced a bevy of USMS All-American awards, including a USMS national champion and record holder. As a swimmer at Denison University, Griffiths twice earned the teams Most Improved Award. He served as team captain his senior year and gathered seven All-SCIAC citations and NCAA cuts in the 100 yard butterfly in 1994 and 1995. A native of Janesville, Wisconsin, Griffiths got his coaching start as an assistant with his former age group team, the J-Hawk Aquatic Club. He is also a coaching veteran at the Stanford Swim Camp and the Ohio State Swim Camp. Griffiths served as Deck Operations Crew Chief for the 2004 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in Long Beach, CA. He is head coach and director of the US Sports Camps/Nike Swim Camp at Claremont McKenna College. In addition to his coaching duties, Griffiths is an Associate Professor of Physical Education at CMS. In 2009, Coach Griffiths won the Glen R. Huntoon Award for Superior Teaching at Claremont McKenna College and was the first athletic department member to win the award since its inception in 1974. Griffiths won the SCIACs initial Mens Coach of the Year award in 2015. Griffiths chaired the SCIAC swimming coaches committee for nine years and served for five years as the NCAA D-III mens representative to the board of directors of the College Swimming Coaches Association. Griffiths, his wife, Katherine, and daughter, Charlotte, reside in Claremont.

Eads is in her fifth year with the CMS coaching staff for the 2016-17 season.  She is a Glendora High School graduate and a former star at The Claremont Club under Coach John Reis.  Courtney reached the semi-finals in the 200 meter butterfly at the 2004 Olympic Trials and also competed in the 2008 Trials in multiple events.  At the University of Nevada-Reno, Courtney was the Western Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Year in 2009.

Fahey is in his fifth year with the CMS coaching staff in 2016-17.  He is a graduate of La Vernes Damien High School, where he was a High School All American as a relay swimmer.  David graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2010.

Jobess divers re-wrote the CMS record book. James Stevick set SCIAC records on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards, also earning All-American status. Maia Presti broke the SCIAC record in 1-meter diving and Carli Lessard set the CMS record while winning the conference championship in 3-meter diving. Seven CMS divers earned spots at the NCAA Zone 2 qualifying meet with two, Stevick and Presti, scoring at NCAAs. During the 2015-16 season, Carli Lessard broke her own CMS 3-meter diving record and Patrick Quarberg earned SCIAC championships on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards Jobes has coached diving for over 15 years. Her coaching career began at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center while she was still an age group diver.  There she taught at the Novice, JO and Masters levels for several years.  Jobes continued coaching throughout college and beyond with roles at the Notre Dame diving club, the University of La Verne and clubs in both Washington State and Virginia.  Most recently, Jobes developed two high school dive programs and birthed multiple CIF Southern Section qualifiers and finalists every season of the last five years.  Her high school divers have been widely recruited by college programs across the nation. Jobes puts a strong emphasis on mastering the fundamentals of diving, allowing for a solid foundation and smooth progression to the bigger, more difficult dives. Jobes own diving career began in 1993 when she joined the Junior Olympic dive team at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center.  She dove at the JO national level on both platform and springboard and was a four time JO National Competitor.  She competed at the Senior level for several years and went on to dive at the NCAA Division I level for the University of Notre Dame.  Fran, her husband, Devon, and daughter, Charlotte, reside in Sierra Madre.
