Meghan Lennon

Lennon returns for her third season as an assistant coach with the field hockey program in 2014. A former four-year letter winner and team captain Lennon started all 66 games in her career and earned all-conference and all-region honors, helping Clark to a pair of trips to the NEWMAC Tournament. Lennon burst onto the scene as a freshman in 2008, leading the Cougars in scoring with 13 points (five goals, three assists). During her junior season she was named both second-team all-region and second-team all-conference as Clark made an appearance in the conference tournament for the second consecutive season. She wrapped up her career with 45 points (15 goals, 15 assists) including three game-winners. In addition to her field hockey exploits, Lennon was a standout on the softball diamond playing four years for the Cougars starting 129 of 133 games, mostly in the outfield. Lennon also excelled in the classroom during her time with the Cougars, earning three straight selections to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) all-academic squad. She also received the Merit Award as a senior, given annually to the student-athlete who has the biggest impact on their sport. A 2012 graduate of Clark University with a degree in business, Lennon received her MBA in Marketing and Sustainability in 2013. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Lennon is a Special Accounts Coordinator at the Metso Corporation in Shrewsbury, Mass.

Linda Wage
Coach
Wage has amassed a career record of 427-348 (.551), guiding Clark to eight 20-plus win seasons, including back-to-back seasons with 30 plus wins. The two-time NEWMAC Coach of the Year (1996, 1999), Wage directed the Cougars to their first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament appearance and capped the year with a school-record 31-11 mark. The following year Clark posted a 31-11 mark again and reached the finals of the ECAC Tournament. Clark has 17 winning seasons under Wage, including a stretch of five seasons (1996-00) when they won no less than 20 games. In addition to softball, Wage has amassed more than 250 wins as the head coach of the field hockey program. During her first 25 seasons, Wage has guided Clark to 16 winning seasons including the programs only undefeated season in 1989-90 when the Cougars went 14-0-3. Under Wages tutelage, Clark has advanced to postseason play on 14 different occasions, led by 11 appearances in the ECAC Tournament and two MAIAW State titles. In 1991, following a 12-2-3 campaign, the Cougars advanced the NCAA Tournament for the first time. The two-time New England Division III Coach of the Year led Clark to a school-record 19-4 mark in 2002 when the Cougars advanced to both the NEWMAC Tournament Finals and the ECAC Championship contest. In all, she has mentored ten All-Americans, three academic All-Americans, and 18 all-conference honorees. Four individuals have been named conference Rookie of the Year under Wages watch, including 2009 selection Mel Melkonian. Remarkably, Wage also served as assistant womens basketball coach at Clark from 1984-96 and helping guide the Cougars to four NCAA tournament appearances and three ECAC New England titles. A four-year letter winner in three different sports at Providence College, Wage is the Friars all-time leading scorer in field hockey with New England records of 95 career goals and 213 career points. Nationally, she ranks 11th in career goals and 12th in career points. Wage was also was a four-year member of the Providence basketball team, which won the AIAW Regional crown. In addition, she captained the softball team and was a four-year starter. In 1980, Wage was honored as Providences Female Athlete of the Year and inducted into the Providence College Hall of Fame in 2003. Prior to her standout collegiate career, Wage was a three-sport star at Holy Name High School in Worcester, Mass., and was inducted into that schools Hall of Fame in 2006.
