Nick Garritano
Head Coach
Garritano is entering his sixth season as the head coach of the CSN Coyotes baseball team. In his four seasons at CSN, Garritano has compiled a 187-107 record. His best season to date was in 2015 when the Coyotes went 46 18, winning the regular season SWAC title, Region XVIII tourney champions and runner up at the Western District tourney. His club was ranked as high as 4 th nationally by NJCAA publications. In his five years at the helm, Garritano has seen 12 of his players drafted by MLB with 7 of those players signing professional contracts. CSN has sent 60 players on to continue their academic/athletic careers at NCAA Div. I, II, III or NAIA institutions in Nicks five years, averaging 12 players a year. Nick has had the pleasure of being able to coach 1 st Team All American, SWAC Pitcher of the Year and 1 st round draft pick of the San Francisco Giants, Phil Bickford in 2015. He has also coached multiple First team All SWAC players including a SWAC Player of the Year in 2013, Morgan Stotts. Stotts was also named the national gold glove winner for his defensive play in that same year. Nick was named SWAC Coach of the year for the 2013 & 2015 seasons. Henderson has been the home to Garritanos baseball coaching career. Before coming to CSN, Nick was the head baseball coach for state power Green Valley HS. In his tenure at Green Valley HS (1999 2010) he compiled an impressive 316 118 record. Under Garritanos guidance the Gators won Nevada State Championships in 2001 and 2003. The Gators also won 6 Regional Titles and appeared in the Nevada State tournament 7 out of his 12 years at the helm. Nick was voted Sunrise Region Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2003. Nick helped over 75 players move on to play college baseball and had 14 players drafted by MLB. In May 2015, Nick was inducted into the Southern Nevada Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame voted on by the HS baseball coaches in Southern Nevada. Nick graduated from UNLV with a BS in Kinesiology in 1995 and attained a masters Degree from the University of Phoenix (1992) in Educational Administration. While attending UNLV, Nick was a four year starter as the placekicker for the Rebels football program (1991 1994). By the time Nicks four year career was over, he finished as the second leading scorer in Rebel history. Nick has held over 10 kicking and points records at UNLV including longest field goal (54 yards, twice) and most points scored in a season. Nick participated in the San Francisco 49ers June minicamp in 1996. In 2010, Nick received a great honor of being placed into UNLVs Athletic Hall of Fame as an individual and also as a member of the 1994 Big West / Las Vegas Bowl Champion football team. Before going to UNLV, Nick graduated from Chaparral HS (1991) in Las Vegas, NV. Nick was a two sport star for the Cowboys. He was a 1 st team All State football player at three positions Offensive Guard, Punter and Placekicker. Nick earned Honorable Mention All American honors as a placekicker. Nick was a 2 time 1 st Team All State 3 rd Baseman for the 1991 Nevada State Champion baseball team. Nick was also voted the 1991 American Legion Player of the Year. Garritano also wrestled his freshman and sophomore years in HS before deciding to focus on football and baseball. Nick was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 31, 1973. He has lived in Las Vegas for 37 years. Nick is happily married to the former Camille Nagy. They were married here in Las Vegas on April 17, 1999. They have two of Gods gifts Nicky (12) and Ava (9). In his free time, Nick enjoys attending his childrens events, dining with his wife and playing golf when time permits.

Bryan Gidge

Gidge joined the College of Southern Nevada baseball staff in 2011, he has been at CSN since day 1 of the Garritano era. He will be entering his sixth season at CSN and has been with Coach Garritano since 2002. Coach Gidge is the Pitching Coach: As Coach Gidge puts it " I Coach the Athletes, the pitchers. Pitchers are who control the entire game. The Coyotes can only go as far as the pitching will take us." The Coyotes consitatnley have one of the top pitching staffs in the conference and is highly respected in the country. He has had 4 pitchers selected in the draft under his watch and many more go on to 4 year universities during his tenure at CSN. Playing Experience: Bryan played two years at Yakima Valley CC in 1996-97 then transferred to UNLV for the 1998-99 seasons. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 33rd round of the 1998 draft. Bryan was born in Yakima, Wa on April 12, 1977. He married Jenny Kush on June 17, 2005, and has two wonderful kids, Mckenzie (7) and Averi (4). He enjoys fishing, golf and spending time with his family.

Mike Eshragh
Assistant Coach
Eshragh joined the College of Southern Nevada baseball staff in 2014. He is entering his second season at CSN as the infield coach. Prior to CSN: Mike coached Liberty High School (Las Vegas, NV) from 2007-2014 where he won the 2014 Nevada State Championship and finished the season ranked 15 th nationally. He also won the American Legion Nevada State Championships in 2012 and 2013. Eshragh was named American Legion Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2014. Playing Experience: Mike played at Point Loma Nazarene University in 2003-04 where he was the starting 2 nd basemen for two years. He hit a career .367 and held school record for triples in a season. In 2004 Pt. Loma took 3 rd in the NAIA World Series. Mike played a year at San Diego City College (2001), before coming back home to play at CSN in 2002. He hit .314 for the Coyotes while playing 2B/SS. He was offered a free agent contract by the Philadelphia Phillies (04). Coach Eshragh graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2005 with a B.A. in Business Administration. Coach Eshragh is a local product who graduated from Silverado High School in Las Vegas, NV (2000). Nevada State Champions in baseball (2000) and finished ranked 9 th nationally. He was a 1 st team All-State baseball and soccer player. Mike was born in Las Vegas, NV on October 20, 1981. He married Maggie Lenahan on February 12, 2011, and has two beautiful kids, Victoria (3) and Elle (18 months). He enjoys going to San Diego Chargers games, UNLV basketball games, golf and spending time with his family.
