Reyelts has compiled an overall record of 238-96-19 since taking over the program in 2000. That includes a stretch of 99 straight matches without a loss in UMAC regular season play that spanned from 2003-2012.   Under Reyelts tutelage, the Saints have produced one NAIA All-American, 19 NAIA Honorable Mention All-Americans, an NAIA Region-III Player-of-the-Year, 12 NSCAA All-Region performers, 12 UMAC Players of the Year, 22 NAIA Region-III All-Region players, and 78 First Team All-UMAC selections.   A proponent of excellence in the classroom as well as on the soccer pitch, 132 of Reyelts players have earned Academic All-UMAC honors, while nine have been named to an NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete Team. Andrea Beatt became the programs first Capital One Academic All-American in 2012, being named to the third team. In 2013, Casey Mitchell was named a First Team Capital One Academic All-American. In 2014, Mitchell was a third team selection.   During his playing days, Reyelts was a goalkeeper on St. Scholastica mens soccer team (1995-97). Nimble outside the keepers box, he was also a hard-checking forward on the Saints hockey team during those years.   Coach Reyelts owns a lengthy resume of coaching positions in the Northland having coached hockey, softball, and track and field at the youth, high school, and college levels. In the summer months Reyelts continues to work with the local Gitchi Gummi Soccer Club. The Saints also made their eighth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last nine years. That includes a stretch of 99 straight matches without a loss in UMAC regular season play that spanned from 2003-2012. Reyelts has guided the Saints to 10 NCAA Tournament appearances and have won 15 Conference regular season titles and 14 Conference Tournament championships under his leadership. His teams have won either the regular season or conference tournament title in 19 of his 22 seasons, while members of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference. Under Reyelts’ tutelage, the Saints have produced 1 NAIA All-American, 19 NAIA Honorable Mention All-Americans, an NAIA Region-III Player-of-the-Year, 19 USC (NSCAA) All-Region performers, 17 Conference Players of the Year, 22 NAIA Region-III All-Region players, and 97 First Team All-Conference selections.   A proponent of excellence in the classroom as well as on the soccer pitch, Over 300 of Reyelts’ players have earned Academic All-Conference honors, while nine have been named to an NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete Team. The 2018 squad recorded the top team grade-point-average out of all the UMAC Women’s Soccer programs. Andrea Beatt became the program’s first CoSIDA Academic All-American in 2012, being named to the third team. In 2013, Casey Mitchell was named a First Team Capital One Academic All-American. In 2014, Mitchell was a third team selection.   During his playing days, Reyelts was a goalkeeper on St. Scholastica men’s soccer team (1995-97). Breanna Nelson

Assistant Coach

Breanna Nelson begins her first season as Saints Assistant Women's Soccer Coach and Goalkeepers Coach in 2025. Nelson is a decorated NCAA Division III student-athlete and rising coaching talent, brings a strong background in player development, goalkeeper training, and program leadership to the Saints. Nelson comes to Duluth from Concordia College-Moorhead, where she served as Assistant Women's Soccer Coach while also leading the school's inaugural women's flag football program as head coach. In her soccer role, she managed recruitment visits, designed and implemented training sessions, oversaw all aspects of goalkeeper coaching, developed scouting reports, and contributed to program budgeting and operations. Her coaching experience also includes serving as Assistant Girls Soccer Coach and Head JV Coach at Fargo North High School, Assistant Girls Soccer Coach at Fargo Shanley High School, and Head Girls Soccer Coach for Tri-City Storm Soccer Club. She has also been a key staff member at Cobber Soccer Camps since 2021, working with youth players to build skills in a positive and structured environment. As a player, Nelson was a three-year captain for Concordia's women's soccer program, helping lead the Cobbers from a winless season to a MIAC semifinal appearance. She earned MIAC Honorable Mention honors in 2023, ranked among the top three in the conference for saves, goals-against average, and saves per game, and was a four-time Academic All-Conference selection. Nelson graduated from Concordia with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. She served as President of the Exercise Science Club, was a Dean's List honoree, and earned the Edson & Margaret Larson Foundation Scholarship for her academic achievements.

Dave Robinson

Assistant Coach

Dave Robinson begins his 21th season on the men’s soccer staff and 13th year with the women’s team in 2025. Coach Robinson was born in Liverpool, England where he had the pleasure of watching the dominating Reds collect numerous European Cups throughout his formative days on Merseyside.  While in England, he played for and graduated from the Royal Air Force with a degree in Electronics and Communications. Robinson has coached with the Gitchi Gummi Soccer Club for the past 26 years where he has helped to develop numerous young Duluth soccer players. He also led the Cloquet Girls High School team to two State tournaments in three years following their back-to-back Section 7A championship seasons. Coach Robinson continues to work on the development of soccer for both players and coaches within Minnesota.  He is an instructor for the coaches National Youth License. He works numerous camps including EDGE Camp in the summer. Locally he is on the AYSA, and the Denfeld Soccer boards. Coach Robinson lives in Duluth with his wife Kim. They have two sons Andrew and Alex.
