Todd Bouchie
Head Coach
Bouchie enters his sixth season as a full time track & field assistant in 2015-16. Bouchie had been a part-time assistant for the Saints since the 2005 season, coaching the throwers and high jumpers. In 2015, Bouchie coached decathlete Kevin Wagner to a fourth place finish and All-American honors at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Bouchie has coached Wagner to three straight NCAA Outdoor Championship appearances. He also coached Nicole Christianson in the high jump at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Bouchie coached the womens programs first NCAA All-American in 2013 as Becky Huberty placed fourth in the hammer throw at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Huberty became the third St. Scholastica Athlete to earn NCAA All-American accolades three times, including a program-best third place finish in the hammer throw in 2014. Huberty also earned All-America honors in the Show Put at the 2014 NCAA Indoor Championships becoming the first CSS Mens/Womens Track & Field Athlete to earn All-America honors in both seasons in the same year. During the 2011-12 season, Bouchie had three throwers and one multi-event athlete qualify for the NCAA Championships, including thrower Alec Seeley, who became the first Saint to qualify for both the indoor and outdoor championships in the same season. Prior to coming over to CSS, Bouchie coached for seven years (five as an assistant, two as a head coach) at Cloquet High School. As the throwing coach for the Lumberjacks, he guided his throwers to six qualifications for the Minnesota State Track & field Championship meet. At Cloquet, he also coached many individual conference champions, and one school record holder. Bouchie was a member of the 1996 and 1997 University of Minnesota Duluth track & field teams that captured the indoor and outdoor Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) championships in both years. He was the indoor NSIC shot put champion in 1996. Bouchie graduated from UMD in 1998 with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education Teaching. He currently lives in Cloquet with his wife Jenny and daughter Alex.

Kirk Nauman
Assistant Coach
Nauman begins his ninth season as the mens and womens track & field coach in 2015-16. In his first eight years at CSS, Coach Nauman has had seven NCAA Division III All-Americans and 27 NCAA qualifiers. Nauman has guided the Saints to eight consecutive UMAC Womens Outdoor Championships and five UMAC Mens Outdoor Championships, including sweeping the last four years. His mens and womens teams have also won five consecutive UMAC Indoor Championships. He has been named UMAC Womens Outdoor Coach of the Year on six occasions and the womens indoor coach of the year the past six seasons. He was also the UMAC Mens Indoor and Outdoor Coach of the Year seven times. Nauman coached his first 400m runner to the NCAA Championships in 2015 as Brianna Buske qualified for both the indoor and outdoor championships. Kevin Wagner became the first decathlete to earn All-America accolades, placing fourth at the outdoor championships. Between the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2014, Nauman had four women earn All-America honors. During the indoor season, all three women competing came home with All-American accolades. Becky Huberty placed a program-best third in the hammer throw for her second consecutive outdoor All-American honor. Prior to arriving at CSS, Nauman coached four seasons at Saint Marys University in Winona. During his four years at Saint Marys, Nauman's success reached from the program level -- 72 Cardinal event records broken -- to the national level. He landed at least one Cardinal athlete at an NCAA Division III Championship meet in each of his four years leading the program in Winona. Of the 17 NCAA participants from SMU, four achieved All-American status. Two Cardinals surpassed championship automatic qualifying standards, while 37 more bettered provisional qualifying cuts. Eighteen of his athletes also were honored with USTFCCCA All-Academic Team selection. Within the MIAC conference, Nauman coached 13 conference champions, three MIAC record-holders, 60 all-conference selections, and a pair of field athletes of the meet. He was also named the 2005 MIAC Indoor Coach of the Year. Nauman resides in Duluth with his wife, current CSS Intramural Sports Coordinator/Assistant Burns Wellness Commons Facility Manager Jamie Nauman.
