Bryson Johnson
Associate Head Coach
Bryson Johnson is in his third season as the associate head men’s basketball coach at the College of the Holy Cross in 2025-26. Johnson joined the Crusaders after spending two years as an assistant coach at the University of Vermont. The Catamounts won two America East Conference regular season and tournament titles during his time on the staff, while going 51-17 overall and 31-3 in league play. Johnson coached a pair of America East Players of the Year in Ryan Davis (2022) and Finn Sullivan (2023). Prior to his time at Vermont, Johnson was on the staff at George Mason University for three years, serving as an assistant coach during the 2020-2021 season and an interim assistant coach in 2019-2020. He was previously an assistant coach at Brown University during the 2017-2018 campaign, and spent two years as a graduate assistant at George Mason from 2015-2017. Johnson is a 2013 graduate of Bucknell University with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He helped lead the Bison to an overall record of 92-41 during his four years, with the team winning three Patriot League regular season titles and two Patriot League Tournament championships. A second team All-Patriot League and Academic All-Patriot League selection, Johnson scored 1,384 career points. Following graduation, Johnson played professionally with the Fraport Skyliners in Germany and in the National Basketball League of Canada.

Ted Rawlings
Assistant Coach
Ted Rawlings is in his third season as an assistant men’s basketball coach at the College of the Holy Cross in 2025-26. Rawlings joined the Crusaders after spending four years on the coaching staff at Texas A&M University-Commerce. He helped the Lions in their transition from Division II to Division I, with the team posting a 9-9 record in Southland Conference play during its first Division I season in 2022-2023. Texas A&M-Commerce previously advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament in 2021-2022, while posting an overall mark of 55-48 during his time on the staff. In addition, Rawlings recruited and developed Demarcus Demonia, a three-time All-League selection and the Lions’ first-ever All-Southland Conference player. Prior to his time at Texas A&M-Commerce, Rawlings was the director of basketball operations at George Mason University from 2016-2019. He was responsible for planning all aspects of team travel as well as assisting in the daily logistics of practice, facility scheduling, film exchange and camp sessions. Rawlings previously spent two years as the coordinator of men’s basketball operations at Brown University from 2014-2016. At Brown, he planned all aspects of team travel in addition to assisting with practice logistics, facility scheduling, film exchange and camps. From 2012-2014, Rawlings was an assistant coach at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. In his first season, he helped lead the Devils to their best mark since 2004, posting a 13-13 record and finished third in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference South Division. In his second season, the program improved to 17-11 and reached the conference semifinals. While with the Devils, Rawlings mentored All-American Garrett Kerr, who was a two-time CACC Player of the Year selection. Rawlings also served as recruiting coordinator and director of player development at the University of the Sciences, evaluating prospects while building relationships with potential student-athletes and high school programs. Rawlings started his coaching career serving as an assistant coach and recruiting assistant with the Haverford College men’s basketball team during the 2011-2012 season. He was also the director of lacrosse operations at the University of Pennsylvania from 2011-2014. Rawlings is a 2011 cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in English. He was a goalie on the lacrosse team and a two-year starter on the sprint football team, earning All-Collegiate Sprint Football League honors. Rawlings also volunteered as a student manager for the men’s basketball team and assisted the director of basketball operations all four seasons. He earned a master’s degree in sport management from Drexel University in 2013.

Sydney Armand
Assistant Coach
Sydney Armand is in his second season as an assistant men’s basketball coach at the College of the Holy Cross in 2025-26. His duties include all aspects of recruiting, player development, game planning and opponent scouting. Armand joined the Crusaders after spending two years as the operations coordinator for the men’s basketball team at Brown University from 2022-2024. During that time, he was responsible for the coordination and organization of the day-to-day operations within the program. Prior to his time at Brown, Armand spent three seasons as the men’s basketball video coordinator at the University of Rhode Island from 2019-2022. His duties included managing scout film, providing analytic reports to the coaching staff, and organizing and scheduling film sessions for players. A 2019 graduate of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Armand served as the men’s basketball team’s head manager and special assistant to the director of basketball operations as an undergraduate. During that time, he also had a stint as the program’s interim director of basketball operations. Armand also spent time as a manager for the Rhode Island women’s basketball program, in addition to having a stint as the head coach for the Rhode Island Magic 15-under AAU team.

Colin Richey
Assistant Coach
Colin Richey is in his third season with the men's basketball program at the College of the Holy Cross in 2025-26. He was promoted to assistant coach/director of men's basketball operations ahead of the 2025-26 season after spending the first two campaigns as the director of men's basketball operations. Richey’s primary responsibilities include heavy involvement in recruiting efforts, summer clinics and day-to-day office duties, in addition to serving as the team’s travel and video coordinator. Richey joined the Crusaders after spending two seasons as an assistant coach at Tufts University. During the 2022-2023 campaign, he helped lead the Jumbos to an overall record of 20-8 and a trip to the NCAA Tournament, where they advanced to the second round. Tufts previously went 13-10 in 2021-2022, while placing second in the New England Small College Athletic Conference with an 8-2 mark in league play. Prior to joining the Jumbos, Richey was an assistant coach at Assumption College from 2019-2021. During the 2019-2020 season, he helped the Greyhounds to a mark of 14-12, good for their best overall record in five years. Richey was previously an assistant at Nichols College in 2018-2019, when the Bison advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, won the Commonwealth Coast Conference championship and finished with a 28-3 record. A 2018 graduate of St. Michael’s College, Richey was a four-year member of the men’s basketball squad. As a senior, he received the program’s Jerry Lanteri Award for exemplary contributions to the team.
