Head Coach
Martin Ramirez enters his ninth season at the helm of the men's soccer program at CBC. In 2026, Ramirez's team saw forward David Ochoa set the single season goals record for CBC with 19. The Hawks faced some adversity in the East, settling for just a tie of the Region Championship. The Hawks suffered an untimely penalty in the Championship match against Highline, losing 1-0 in extra time for a 2nd place NWAC Finish. Martin started playing club soccer at the age of 4 in his hometown of La Barca, Jalisco, Mexico. After moving to the United States at the age of fourteen, he graduated from Pasco High School in 2010 and went into college to Walla Walla Community College. He then transferred to The Evergreen State College. He returns after receiving a Bachelor’s of Arts degree with a focus in Education. He will be coaching at Chiawana High School during spring season, Three Rivers Club during the summer, and CBC during the fall. He wants to further his education by acquiring a Master’s in Arts and get endorsements in Spanish, English and ELL to be a High School teacher. Yerba Buena HS As a sophomore Martin made it to the talented varsity team that made it to state quarterfinals. He received the Best Defender of the Year award. Pasco HS After moving to Pasco as a junior, Martin received the Newcomer of the Year Award, and was a vital part of a very talented team that finished 2nd in the state that year. As a senior, Martin was team captain and led the team to a very successful season- on and off of the field. Ramirez received All-Conference 1st Team, All Area Team, All-State Team honors and MVP of the season honors. WWCC Martin was team captain of his team, which finished the season as East Region Champions. He was an All-Conference player and was selected to play in the NWAC All-Star game in 2011. TESC As a senior, Ramirez was team captain and he earned Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition. He was a key in an Evergreen defense that allowed just 17 goals in 16 matches and he also contributed four assists. Chiawana High School He currently holds the Varsity Assistant Men’s Soccer position for Chiawana High School. Ramirez looks forward to continue learning and growing as a coach. Personal Martin and his wife have two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family and working out.

Sergio Licona
Assistant Coach
Sergio enters his first season as an assistant at CBC. As a former player, he was a 4-year Varsity letterman who lead Sunnyside High School to 2 regional championships and one league title. After stepping away from the game for a few years, Licona decided to step into the coaching world. He served 4 as the head coach for the middle school program in Sunnyside and most recently was an assistant at the high school. In his spare time, he also coaches basketball in the winter and enjoys hanging out with friends and family. He hopes to complete his Bachelor's degree in teaching with aspirations to become a high school English teacher.

Lucas Cash
Assistant Coach
Lucas Cash joined the Columbia Basin College men's soccer program as an assistant coach in August 2019. Since then, Coach Cash has helped transform the Hawks defense into a tough and disciplined unit putting together a 0.50 GAA and eight shutouts in 2019, 0.90 GAA and five shutouts in 2020, and 0.58 GAA and eight shutouts in 2021 in conference play. The defensive production has helped secure East Region conference championships in 2019 and 2021 and a three-year conference record of 25-5-4. In addition to on-the-field coaching, Coach Cash leads high school recruiting efforts alongside Coach Licona. This effort includes scouting high school prospects through Prep soccer, Club soccer throughout the Pacific Northwest, as well as scheduling visits and helping potential student-athletes tour campus. He also is the liaison for the program for current men's soccer players who are moving on to four-year schools. In addition to coaching CBC, Cash is the boy's assistant coach at Pasco High School under Head Coach Matt Potter. Over the past six years, Cash has helped Pasco win 100+ games, including numerous league championships, five state tournaments, three final fours, two state finals, and a state championship. He has also helped over 30+ players move on to the collegiate level. As a player, Cash was a four-year starter at Pasco High School (2007-2010), where he won a state championship and played in four state tournaments and two state championships. He was selected as an all-conference, all-area, and all-state defender. He attended Bushnell University and was a three-year starter competing in the Cascade Collegiate Conference in the Pacific Northwest. After graduating from Pasco with running start credits from Columbia Basin College, Cash made his was to Bushnell University. He graduated from Bushnell with his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration in just three years. He currently works in project management, supporting the Hanford Site mission.
