Columbus State Community College Women's Volleyball

Yocum is in her second year as head coach for the COlumbus State Cougars. Over the past eight years, Yocum has served in several capacities with the Cougar volleyball program, including assisting under then-head coaches Scott Nichols and Kevin Burch and managing under Jaclynn Yocum. In addition, she works as an adjunct faculty member for the Department of Sports and Exercise Studies. Yocum, a resident of Plain City, has coached and taught at the collegiate and high school levels over the past 35 years. For the 18 years, she has coached national, American, and elite level teams through the Junior Olympic Club program. As a high school head coach at Beechcroft and Jonathan Alder, she achieved a combined record of 316-80, winning nine district titles and 20 league titles.  While coaching, she received a multitude of awards including League Coach of the Year, District Coach of the Year, Ohio State High Distinction, and was named the Ohio State Coach of the Year. As well as coaching, she taught in physical education and health for 33 years in Columbus City Schools. Yocum graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Health and Recreation a Master's Degree in Education and Recreation Administration. A Columbus, OH native, Yocum has three children Ryan, Ashley, and Jaclynn, and one granddaughter, Brooklynn.
