Concordia University Texas Men's Soccer

Jordan Parron was announced as the new Men’s Soccer Head Coach in July of 2024. In his first season, Concordia finished with a 9-5-4 record, tied for fourth in the 12- team nationally competitive SCAC conference. Concordia finished the season with the third most goals scored in the SCAC. Six players received 2024 All Conference accolades, and twenty were recognized on the 2024 Fall SCAC Conference student athlete honor roll.  In 2025, the Tornados earned a 9-4-5 overall record, and 6-1-4 SCAC record to place third & earn a quarterfinals appearance in the SCAC Tournament. Eight Tornados were deemed to the All-SCAC Team, highlighted by Jesse Garfias earning a First Team nod. CTX men's soccer also produced 26 student-athletes to the 2025 Fall SCAC Conference student athlete honor roll.  Parron was a collegiate student-athlete where he started at Mississippi Gulf Coast. He then transferred to Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) before ending at the University of Memphis. Parron started both seasons at MGCCC where he was named All-MACCC, an MACCC All-Star and helped the Bulldogs reach the 2014 NJCAA Region 23 Championship game. He started six matches as a junior at IUPUI before a season-ending injury. He then transferred to Memphis and played the 2017 spring season while completing his bachelors in sociology and psychology. Parron joined Belhaven University as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2020. The Blazers advanced to the 2020 ASC Quarterfinals in a conference-only shortened schedule due to COVID-19. Belhaven’s keepers combined for 33 saves, a pair of shutouts and a 1.34 goals against average. After a impressive season with the Blazers, Parron accepted an assistant coach role with Jones College in 2021. Parron and Bobcats found immense success immediately as Jones College boasted a record of 27-4-1 and a No. 1 NJCAA & United Soccer Coaches national ranking within his first two years with the program. Following a record-breaking 2022 season, Parron and the Jones College coaching staff were recognized as the 2022 MACCC Coaching Staff of the Year. Overall, Parron & Jones College tallied an outstanding record of 41-7-3 in his first three seasons with a pair of conference championships and national tournament appearances. He also helped facilitate the transition of 17 Jones College Bobcats to four-year programs within the last three years, compared to only 15 total for Jones College in the previous decade. Parron He has an nine-year-old daughter, Layla Marie and a newborn son, Kylan. Russell Gray received a Masters Degree in Soccer Coaching and Team Management from The Real Madrid Graduate School in Madrid, Spain. While pursuing his degree, Gray also participated in coaching clinics at several professional clubs in Spain and Portugal, including Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla FC, FC Porto, Sporting Braga FC, and SL Benfica. In Spain, Gray also volunteered as an assistant coach for a top-tier boys U16 academy team in Madrid. In the United States, Gray was a volunteer assistant coach in 2022-2023 for his alma mater, LeTourneau University, after his college career playing soccer concluded. Grays coaching background also includes stints as the Head Coach for two separate competitive teams at LALIGA Academy Dallas as well as with the FC Dallas youth program. At LALIGA Academy Dallas, Gray coached both of his teams to undefeated championship seasons in 2023.   Gray played collegiately for four years at LeTourneau University, starting in 62 of 68 career matches. He received All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors three times each from the American Southwest Conference. From 2019-2022, Gray led LeTourneau both in total goals scored and total points. He was elected team captain for two consecutive seasons and was also the only soccer athlete in ASC conference history to win the Conference Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year Award on two separate occasions. Gray received his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from LeTourneau University. He holds many coaching licenses and certifications through the USSF, UEFA, and United Soccer Coaches and is currently pursuing his UEFA C License from the Scottish Football Association and his National C License from the United States Soccer Federation. He is also a certified classroom teacher through the Texas Education Agency and has received formal training in Mental Health First Aid. Originally from Plano, TX, Gray was a standout three-sport athlete in high school, playing for both the FC Dallas youth and Liverpool International Academy programs. In his free time, Gray enjoys attending international soccer matches and spending time with his family.
