Converse University Women's Swimming

White enters his seventh year with the Valkyries swimming team. White began his career as the assistant coach for Converse when the program started collegiate competition in 2009, under Head Coach Susan Kunkler. In his two years as Assistant Coach White was in charge of recruiting, assisting of practices, and general program duties. Since, becoming head coach in May of 2011, White has coach three NCAA Honorable Mention All-Americans, three Bluegrass Mountain Conference Champions, two runner ups, broken 9 of 13 school records, and with five NCAA Honorable Mention Academic All-Americans, and 14 All-Conference Academic swimmers. In his first year as head coach, White lead the Valkyries to their first top 25 in the nation ranking and qualified two swimmers to NCAA DII Nationals. White is 18-10 in dual meets for his career as head coach. White has worked The University of Texas swim camp for five years, learning valuable techniques, coaching styles, and operations of a successful program from Olympic coaches and swimmers involved with the Longhorn Swim Camp. Its been an honor to be a part of the program since its inception in 2009, stated Head Swim Coach Corey White. Each year I look to forward to providing each swimmer with the tools necessary to become successful and obtain their goals.   Coach White accredits much of his success to his mentors, Kyle Schack of Crimson Aquatics, Susan Kunkler, Jeff Dugdale of Queens University of Charlotte, and Matt Pearce and Adam Cooper of Flint YMCA Falcons.
