Eric McCambly
Head Coach
McCambly was been named the new head coach of the Daniel Webster College mens ice hockey program in June 2014, returning home home to the Nashua area with the appointment as he was a standout at New Hampshire perennial powerhouse Bishop Guertin Catholic High School in Nashua, graduating in 1990. I am excited to join the Daniel Webster College community, said McCambly. As DWC expands the growth of NCAA Division III ice hockey in my home town of Nashua, Im equally excited to work with a supportive and innovative group of faculty and staff here at the College. I look forward to expanding the work of longtime program supporters and coaches such as Paul Labarre, Jean-Guy Letarte, and John McAnespie. My intent is to establish a strong foundation and field a competitive program with an emphasis on graduating outstanding civic-minded young men in four years, McCambly added. My goal is to create one of the most competitive ice hockey programs in the northeast that will vie for a conference and a national title in the years to come. McCambly had served as the head coach and director of hockey operations at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Canton for six years (2007-2013) guiding the program from the junior college level to ACHA Division I and finally to it first transitional season as a NCAA Division III independent. Over that span his programs compiled an overall record of 115-40-5 which included five consecutive winning seasons resulting in three ACHA national championship tournament appearances, and pair of conference regular season and tournament titles. For his efforts, McCambly was named the Eastern Collegiate Hockey Conference Coach of the Year and was a finalist for ACHA Division I Coach of the Year honors. Prior to his time at Canton, McCambly served as head coach at Penn State University at Berks for four seasons, compiling an overall mark of 116-19-2 which included four consecutive winning seasons, four conference titles, four national tournament appearances with two appearances in the ACHA national semifinals. McCambly, who is currently completing a Master of Education in Administration and Enrollment Management from Bay Path College East Longmeadow, Mass., most recently served the past year as Director of Student Activities and Assistant Athletic Director at Carson Long Military Academy in New Bloomfield, Penn. After his Bishop Guertin days, he moved on to play four years at Norwich University where earned a degree in Physical Education in 1994. He played all four seasons with the Cadets posting 32 goals and 28 assists for 60 points over 82 career games and was part of a program that enjoyed three consecutive winning seasons. McCambly's coaching career began at Saint Thomas More Preparatory School in Oakdale, Connecticut where he served as the head coach from 1999 to 2003, earning the Northeastern Atlantic Prep School Hockey Conference Coach of the Year award in 2001. Daniel Webster College announced the elevation of mens ice hockey to NCAA Division III status beginning in 2014-15. The program will complete a final season as a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) while adding a limited number of NCAA varsity contests to its season schedule. The program will then play a full NCAA schedule in 2015-16 while seeking conference affiliation.

Paul Labarre
Coach
Labarre hasn't filled at one time or another during his tenure. Now in his 20th year serving Daniel Webster ice hockey, Labarre's roots with the Eagles program goes back prior to the squad joining the ACHA in 1993, but it was in that season that the program lurched forward towards legitimacy with Labarre overseeing the team as its first coach, a role he filled until 1999. Despite giving up head coach duties, Labarre has continued to serve as an assistant coach and oversees the program's daily operations. Labarre began teaching part-time at DWC in 1983 and since that time, he has held a number of full-time positions including director of admissions, baseball coach, instructor, director of academic support services, director of alumni relations, director of graduate admissions, Air Force ROTC instructor, and currently as director of parent relations. He has also served as director of the College's highly successful Aviation Career Education (A.C.E.) camp. Labarre spent a number of years in the military, joining the United States Navy when he was 17. Following a tour of duty, he joined the United States Air Force, where was a meteorologist and later earned a master of arts degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University. A longtime resident of Salem, N.H., Labarre is a certified hockey referee and serves as referee-in-chief for Salem Youth Hockey. He resides in Windham, N.H.
