Bill Cosentino

Head Coach

Cosentino became the fifth head coach in mens lacrosse history at DWC and the third mens golf coach in the modern era in January 2015. Cosentino came to DWC after spending the previous two and a half years as assistant coach and defensive coordinator at Keene State College. During his tenure the Owls compiled an overall mark of 24-10 which included two trips to the Little East Conference tournament championship game and saw the program earn seven Little East all conference defensive players including the ECAC Defensive Player of the Year. The Owls posted a remarkable 2014 campaign in which the squad rebounded from a 1-6 start to finish 10-7, and took the Little East title leading to an automatic berth in the NCAA tournament. Prior to his time in Keene, Cosentino was the head coach at Merrimack (N.H.) High School where he helped lead the team to their first overall winning season since 2001 (10-6). Early in his career, he served as the varsity assistant coach at Concord (N.H.) High School and during his four-year stint, he helped the Tide to two NHIAA final four appearances. Cosentino was also an elite coach for Indoor Action Sports (Greenfield, Mass.) before establishing New England Elite Lacrosse in 2010. In 2007 he earned the Assistant Coach of the Year award from the NHIAA and from US Lacrosse. A native of Levittown, N.Y., Cosentino was an All-Conference honoree as a senior defensemen at Division Ave. High School and went to play at Plymouth State University where he was a four-year starter on defense, graduating with a degree in Elementary Education in 2005. He also holds a Masters Degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from Rivier University (2011). After graduating from PSU, Cosentino Played two seasons with the American Lacrosse League's Bay State Lacrosse Club. In 2007 he created and organized the Warpigs Lacrosse Club who competed in the American Lacrosse League for six years and now the newly formed New England Lacrosse League. He also competes with the Old School Lacrosse Club in the ONELL, which captured the league championship in 2014. Cosentino resides with his wife, Margot, in Nashua.
