Scott Cook
Head Coach
Cook is in his 10th season as head coach of Davenport University's cross country and track & field teams. During his time at DU, his indoor and outdoor track & field teams have seen the most success. Cook has coached 35 WHAC champions in both sports along with a WHAC Outdoor Athlete of the Year in two of the last four seasons. He has also coached 11 athletes who have earned nine NAIA All-American honors. In 2013-14, the program saw its biggest individual accomplishment as Tori Brooks won the indoor and outdoor national championship in the high jump. It marks the first ever NAIA title in any sport at the school. Brooks would go on to repeat his indoor title in the winter of 2015. Academically, Cook's teams are top notch. He had 18 student-athletes earn NAIA Scholar Athlete recognition in the last three years. During the 2010-2011 season, all six of his teams were named NAIA Scholar Teams for having a combined GPA of at least 3.0. Previously, Cook was the head coach at Northwood University for six seasons. During his time at Northwood he coached a dozen NCAA Division 2 All-Americans and two Academic All-Americans. Previous to NU, Cook served as assistant cross country and track & field coach at Grand Valley State University. Scott is a 1997 graduate of Bradley University where he lettered four years in cross country. In addition to his coaching roles he serves at the WHAC Chair for his sports and is on the NAIA Games Committee. He is also a member of DU's Diversity Equity & Inclusion Committee. He and his wife Beth reside in Alto, Mich. with their two children Addy and Owen.

Weir brings to Davenport five years of coaching experience at the collegiate level where he was an assistant at Illinois Wesleyan University since 2010.
