Di Girolamo is entering her 11th year with the Aggies and is the program's all-time leader in victories with 88. The team has made five Freedom Conference tournament appearances and one ECAC semifinal during her tenure. She also serves as an assistant athletic director in the department. Di Girolamo and her squad had the most successful season in program history in 2013 as the Aggies won a school-record 13 games and captured the top seed in the Freedom Confernce tournament. They hosted a playoff game for the first time and it was an overtime semifinal battle. Delaware Valley was then selected for the ECAC tournament for the first time and the squad pulled off a road upset in the quarterfinals before falling in the semis. Di Girolamo was named the Freedom Coach of the Year and five players were named to the all-conference team. Di Girolamo's first campaign with the Aggies also saw her earn Freedom Conference Coach of the Year honors. She led the '06 Aggies, who were picked to finish last in the conference in a preseason coaches' poll, to a 10-9 overall record and a Freedom tournament berth. They fell to eventual Freedom champion King's College in the semifinals but three players were named to the all-conference team with one also earning Rookie of the Year honors. In 2007, Delaware Valley broke or tied 19 team and individual records, including wins in a season where it went 12-8 overall to match the top mark. The Aggies finished in a three-way tie for third place but missed out on the four-team conference playoff due to a tiebreaker. The '08 campaign saw the team go 10-10 overall for a fourth consecutive non-losing season. In 2009, the Aggies were picked sixth in the preseason poll, but instead finished in the top four to qualify for the Freedom tournanent. They travelled to nationally-ranked Eastern University for the semifinals and forced overtime before falling to the eventual conference champions. The team finished with a 10-10 mark and had four all-conference honorees, including Player of the Year Bethany Pavlilk. The 2010 campaign saw Delaware Valley made a return trip to the Freedom semifinals where it once again ran into eighth-ranked and eventual champion Eastern. The team had another 10-10 record and saw three players earn all-conference accolades. Two years later, Delaware Valley began the year 3-0 in Freedom play and stood atop the standings that late in a year for the first time in program history. The Aggies reached the conference tournament and fell in the semifinals. Five players earned all-Freedom honors. Di Girolamo came to Delaware Valley following a six-year stint at Neumann College. She served as head coach for both the field hockey and lacrosse programs at Neumann and was also an assistant director of athletics and senior women's administrator. The winningest field hockey coach in Neumann history, Di Girolamo notched 37 wins and a pair of Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) playoff appearances during her tenure. She led the 2001 squad to their first-ever tournament appearance and ended the year 8-11 overall and 7-4 in conference play. In 2005, the Knights returned to the postseason and upset No. 3 seed Wesley College in the first round for the program's first PAC playoff win. They fell in the semifinals to eventual champion Alvernia College. After the season, Di Girolamo's squad was on NFHCA's Division III National Academic Division III Team GPA listing with a 3.40 combined average while 11 individuals were named to the National Academic Squad. During her field hockey playing career, Di Girolamo was a four-year starter and two-year captain for Alvernia College. She earned numerous accolades including team Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year honors as well as all-PAC honors.
