Andrew Gregory
Head Coach
Andrew Gregory joined the DePauw staff as assistant men's and women's tennis coach prior to the 2010-11 season and was named the head men's and women's tennis coach in September 2023. Named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year Award in 2012 Named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Region Men's Assistant Coach of the Year Award in 2019 In his time at DePauw, Gregory has been involved with all aspects of coaching and recruiting student-athletes and has been an integral part of the planning of each practice and conducts all strength and conditioning workouts for the squads while leading individual workouts with players. During his time with the Tigers, the women reached the round of 16 in the NCAA women’s tournament in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 as well as the 2015 national quarterfinals. The men have consistently ranked in the top 30 during that time as well. Prior to coming to DePauw, Gregory was an instructor at the Wabash Valley Tennis Club in Terre Haute (Ind.), where he led both private and group tennis lessons. In his playing days, Gregory was a four-year member of the nationally-ranked Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) tennis squad, claiming the 2009 National Christian College Athletic Association national championship. A 2009 graduate of Olivet Nazarene, Gregory is currently pursuing his master’s degree in coaching from Ball State University (Ind.).

Scott Riggle
Assistant Coach
Scott Riggle came to DePauw in the summer of 2000. At DePauw A 2020 Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association Hall of Fame inductee. Started as the head women's tennis coach in 2000-01 before being named the men's tennis head coach in 2009. In 23 seasons as the women's head coach, Riggle's teams compiled a 335-196 record, while the men were 163-130 in 14 years. He directed the women to four North Coast Athletic Conference championships since the Tigers began play in the league in the spring of 2012. The men finished second in the NCAC in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017 and third in 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2023. Named the NCAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Led the women to a share of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference title in 2006 and outright championships in 2008 through 2011. Riggle earned SCAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year honors seven times. On the national level, Riggle directed the DePauw women to 13 of the program's 14 NCAA Division III team appearances including 11 straight from 2005 through 2015. DePauw also advanced to the 2003, 2006 and 2015 national quarterfinals. Riggle coached Liz Bondi who won the 2007 NCAA Singles Championship and was the Honda Award winner as the top Division III female athlete. In the fall of 2004, Bondi and partner Elizabeth Steele became the first representatives in the history of Division III to win the Small College Super Bowl, a feat which earned them a trip to the Division I indoor national championships. Prior to DePauw Prior to coming to DePauw, Riggle served as the men's tennis coach at the University of Indianapolis during the 1999-2000 year and led the Greyhounds to a second-place finish in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and an appearance in the NCAA Division II Regional. Riggle has been a certified teaching professional, licensed by the United States Professional Tennis Registry, for 25 years. In addition to positions as a teaching professional at several different clubs, Riggle also coached the boy's team at Columbus (Ind.) East High School and posted a 117-35 record. He was the girl's coach at Columbus North where his teams were 146-19 and won six of nine regional titles. The Connersville, Ind., native earned both a bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees in English from the University of Indianapolis. While competing for the Greyhounds, Riggle was a three-time GTE Academic All-America selection and the GLVC Scholar Athlete of the Year as a senior. He also earned the GLVC's Richard F. Scharf Paragon Award which is presented to an athlete based on academic excellence, athletic ability and achievement. Riggle has enjoyed success as a player as well, finishing 1996 and 1998 as the top-ranked men’s singles player in the Central Indiana Tennis Association. He finished 2002 ranked first in 35 and over doubles in Central Indiana.
