Dominican University (IL) Women's Basketball

Carrillo was named the head women's basketball coach ahead of the 2024-25 season after spending one season as the associate head coac. Prior to joining Dominican, Carrillo spent the last 16 seasons as the Head Coach at Elmhurst University. Carrillo, who left the Elmhurst as the all-time wins' leader in program history, had her teams qualify for the CCIW Tournament nine times in her 16 seasons as the Bluejays' head coach. Her former players garnered 24 all-conference honors, six all-region accolades, and three All-America awards. Before taking over head coaching duties at Elmhurst, Carrillo served as an assistant coach for four seasons from 2002-2006. While spending one season at Lake Superior State University during the 2006-2007 season, she helped guide the Lakers to an 18-9 overall record while also serving as the team's recruiting coordinator. Carrillo also spent several years coaching at the high school level in Kansas and Missouri is a graduate of Emporia State University. Carrillo earned a bachelor's degree in physical education and was a member of the school's NCAA Division II basketball team. She then earned a Master of Science in Education degree in physical education and coaching from Ball State University in 2005.

Ashley Green joined the Stars' coaching staff ahead of the 2023-2024 season as an assistant coach. Green joins the staff having spent her playing career at Marquette University and Louisiana Tech. Green played professionally overseas, serving as a member of the Puerto Rican National Team after graduation from Louisiana Tech. The Geneva High School graduate went on to earn her Master’s in Counseling at Northwestern University in 2020 and is currently pursuing her PH.D in Community Psychology at National Louis University. Green also spent some time after her playing days to serve as a basketball coach and skills trainer in the Cyrstal Lake area. Green currently serves as a Accomodations and Disability Access Counselor at Dominican in the Department of Student Success and Engagement providing academic support for all students.  

Sheehan began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Immaculate Conception College Prep and later at Lisle High School.  He then became head coach at Holy Trinity High School, where he led the program for nine seasons including one 20 win season and four regional championship appearances.  He was named Chicago Prep Conference Coach of The Year for the 2017-18 season.  In 2022 he left Holy Trinity to join Coach Carrillo’s staff at Elmhurst University.  He spent the 2023-24 season as an assistant at York High School and has joined Coach Carrillo at Dominican this year.  Sheehan has a BS in Finance from Illinois State University and an MBA from Loyola University – Chicago.
