Ramon McIntosh

Head Coach

McIntosh is very familiar with the campus as he spent two seasons with the UOIT womens soccer program as the goalkeeper coach. The Ridgebacks had a ton of success in their inaugural two seasons having qualified twice for the OUA postseason. In 2013-14, the Ridgebacks picked up their first ever playoff victory as they defeated McMaster 2-0 in penalty kicks. Freshman goaltender Melissa MacKinnon shutout the Marauders for over 120 minutes and in penalty kicks as UOIT advanced to the quarterfinals. As a player, McIntosh played soccer for York University where he won an OUA championship title in 2007 and were national semifinalists. After his university career, he was the goalkeeper coach for Yorks mens and womens teams. In 2010, the Lions went on to win the CIS national championship. Since 2005, he has been the technical coach and goalkeeper technical development program assistant director for the North Toronto Soccer Club, where he responsible for overseeing the identification, recruitment and development of youth players. Throughout his career, his involvement through OSA provincial programs and certification courses has led him to play a key role in the development and mentorship of elite players. He has implemented programs in grass roots, recreational and youth clubs as well as being involved with district, regional, provincial and national programs. In doing so, he has had the invaluable experience of serving under and working with some of Ontario and Canadas top professionals.  McIntosh played for Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester New York of the NAIA division before moving on to York University and Playing in the PDL for the Thunder Bay Chill. In year one with all three programs, he played an integral role in making the playoffs. His teams qualified for the playoffs with Roberts at NAIA, winning the OUA provincial championship and reaching the national semifinals with York, and winning the Heartland Division in the PDL while playing with the Thunder Bay Chill.  In the summer of 2014, McIntosh was the goalkeeper coach for both U-15 and U-16 provincial teams. Both groups returned from the national championship with gold medals, sweeping the competition.
