Christine Hutchison

Head Coach

Hutchison's first five years, winning twice and qualifying automatically for the NCAA tournament. Hutchison took over as the winningest coach in program history with the team's second victory of 2013 -- a 15-8 non-conference victory over Salve Regina University at the Mansfield Outdoor Complex. She also ranks first in years of service has head coach with the program and first in matches coached (161). Three of the program's four LEC playoff titles in 12 years of conference competition have also come under her stewardship. Hutchison is a three-time LEC Coach-of-the-Year. Following her first season when the Warriors equalled the third-most wins in a season in program history Hutchison was honored with the award and followed with the identical honor in 2009 and again in 2011. As a collegian, the Stonington native played four seasons (1996-1999) of field hockey at Division III University of Mary Washington, where she was named to the STX/NFHCA Division III All-South Region team and to the NFHCA  North-South Senior All-Star Game as a senior midfielder in 1999. At Mary Washington, Hutchison was also a two-time, first-team all-Capital Athletic Conference all-star and graduated  as the programs all-team leader with 24 assists.  As a senior captain in the fall of 1999, Hutchison led the team in points (26) and assists (12).   Hutchison holds a B.S. Degree in  Math from Mary Washington and earned her M.S. in Organizational Management from Eastern in 2013. Hutchison and husband Joe reside in Preston with daughters Megan, Sarah and Ashley.

Erika Profenno

Assistant Coach

Profenno returned to Eastern in 2013 after spending the previous six seasons as head field hockey coach at Joel Barlow High School in Redding, Conn. Profennos teams at Barlow featured six All-State selections, one Academic All-State selection, 22 All-Southwest Conference and 15 All-Division picks. A native of South Portland, Maine, Profenno  appeared in 72 collegiate field hockey matches in her four-year career. The programs last two-time first-team All-LEC pick, Profenno started 35 of 36 matches with five goals and five assists at Eastern in 2004 and 2005, serving as a team captain as a senior.  In 2001 and 2002, Profenno appeared in 36 matches with 18 starts at the University of Southern Maine, where she helped the Huskies to an overall record of 28-17 (15-5 in the LEC) and two berths in the ECAC New England Division III Tournament. Profenno holds a B.S. Degree in Sport & Leisure Management from Eastern.
