Eckerd College Men's Tennis

Maxwell officially took over the reins of the program in the middle of December 2013. In 2016, Maxwell led the men's tennis program to a record-setting season that saw the Tritons record 12 wins that included seven 9-0 sweeps.   As a player, Maxwell was a Top Ranked Florida and National Junior player. During his playing career as a former student-athlete, Maxwell was named the Tritons Most Valuable Player for the 2009-2010 season.   He was named in the top 20 in the Nation in NCAA Division II doubles and was ranked top 30 in the South Region in NCAA Division II singles. Staying at his alma mater, where he was a four-year anchor in the Tritons rotation, Maxwell previously worked as the Eckerd College Coordinator of Fitness and Wellness (campus activities) from August 2011 through December 2013.   He is also a Head Racquet Stringer and Technician for top level Junior and ATP Tour events. Maxwell grew up in Sarasota, Fla., but now resides in St. Petersburg. He graduated from Eckerd College in 2011 with his degree in Creative Writing.
