Brewster has served as the Edgewood College's head cross country coach since 2004. In 2005, Brewster became the first head coach of the Eagles' men's and women's track programs. Brewster has guided the women's cross country team to top-four finishes in 2013 and 2014, with a runner-up finish in 2013. Brewster has also guided the men's track team to top-five finishes in two of the past three years. Two top-five NAC finishes highlighted the 2012 season for the men's and women's cross country teams in 2012 while both the mens and womens cross country teams placed second in 2011. Brewster guided the men to a third place finish behind Josh Williams and Grant Mickesh, who finished first and second, respectively. The women also turned in impressive times for a fifth place finish. Overall, three men and two women were named to the All-NAC squad. Under Brewster, two Eagle runners finished in the top three in the 2010 mens championship. Josh Williams was the top individual finisher. Williams earned All-Region and qualified for nationals where he set an Edgewood College record.  Three men and three women from the Edgewood College cross country teams were named to the All-NAC team. The 2009 track and field season saw the Eagles win their first two conference championships, both on the men's side. During the indoor season they won the first event title in school history, the distance medley relay, and in the outdoor season Connor Boushon took home the Eagles' first individual championship in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. In 2008 the men's cross country team finished sixth at the NACC Championships and placed a runner in the top five for the first time since 2003 when Edgewood College was a member of the Lake Michigan Conference. On the women's side they placed fifth at the NAC Championships which was their highest finish since 2006 when they finished fourth. Brewster graduated with a degree in human ecology, human development and family studies from UW-Madison in May of 2003. She served as the assistant cross country coach at Madison Area Technical College where she coached three student-athletes to the National Junior College Athletic Association Cross Country Championships. Brewster also spent three summers as an instructor at UWs Camp of Champions. A highly decorated student-athlete while at UW, Brewster is the first Badger female to be named to the All-Big Ten cross country team four consecutive years. She was named Big Ten Cross Country Athlete of the Year in 2001 en route to a championship finish at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. Brewster was an all-American selection in 2000 in addition to achieving all-America status three times in indoor track (1999, 2001, 2003) and twice in outdoor track (2002, 2003). Brewster, who is originally from Freeland, Mich., has a total of 11 Big Ten championships to her credit. Brewster traveled to Japan in November of 2005 as part of the USA Track & Field distance relay team that competed in the International Chiba Ekiden relays. Prior to that assignment, Brewster missed qualifying for the 2004 Olympic Summer Games at the Olympic Trials in Sacramento, Calif., by finishing 13th in the womens 1500 meters. She ran an all-time personal best in the semi-finals after finishing eighth in her respective heat in 4:11.18.
