Callie Wheeler
Head Coach
6th Year (17th Year Overall) Edinboro ‘06 Callie Wheeler took over the Edinboro women's basketball program in May of 2018 becoming the programs fifth head coach. A former standout for the Fighting Scots from 2002 to 2006, Wheeler served as Swank's assistant coach since September 2007. Edinboro enjoyed great success during Wheeler's 11 seasons at Swank's side. Widely regarded as one of the top assistant coaches in Division II women's basketball, Edinboro posted a 239-86 record in her 11 seasons on the bench. The Fighting Scots won four PSAC Championships in her 11 years as an assistant, along with four NCAA Tournament appearances, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 2013-14. Wheeler has continued the Fighting Scots success taking the Scots to the PSAC postseason in each of the four seasons since taking over the program. Seven Fighting Scots have been named to All-PSAC squads under Wheeler’s direction. In Wheeler’s initial season at the helm. She guided Edinboro to a ninth straight 20-win season as the Fighting Scots finished with a 20-9 record. The 20 wins were the most ever by a first-year head coach at Edinboro. The Fighting Scots qualified for the PSAC Tournament for the tenth straight year, and she led the Fighting Scots to a berth in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional. Edinboro would fall to ninth-ranked Virginia Union, 83-71, in the opening round of the Atlantic Regional. Wheeler’s first career win was a 67-60 triumph over Virginia State, an NCAA playoff team in 2018, in the VUU Lady Panther Tip-Off Classic. She would lead the Fighting Scots to a pair of wins over nationally-ranked PSAC West rival California(Pa.), winning 99-92 at Edinboro and 62-61 at Cal. The Fighting Scots also continued the tradition of WBCA All-Americans, with Michaela Barnes earning WBCA honorable mention All-American honors. Barnes and Jontay Walton were first team All-PSAC West selections, while Ciara Rosten was named to the second team. Wheeler played for the Fighting Scots from 2002-06, and ranks as one of the all-time greatest players in Edinboro history. She became Edinboro's sixth Kodak/WBCA All-American as she earned honorable mention All-American honors. That capped a brilliant senior season in which she was named the PSAC West Athlete of the Year and was a first team All-PSAC West selection. In addition, she was selected as the Nancy Acker Award winner in 2006. The 5'5" guard finished as Edinboro's second-leading scorer at 12.5 ppg. as a senior, and also added 5.1 rpg. More importantly, she set a school record with 249 assists while turning the ball over just 89 times. She led the PSAC in both assists and steals, finishing with 95 in the latter category. Edinboro had had just one triple-double in its history prior to 2005-06, when Wheeler accomplished the fete twice. The first came against Seton Hill (20 points, 11 rebounds, 14 assists), followed by 29 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in her final home appearance vs. Shippensburg. As a junior, Wheeler earned second team All-PSAC West accolades after averaging 10.4 ppg. and handing out 225 assists, along with recording 91 steals. The assists ranks third all-time. She led the Fighting Scots to a 21-10 record that season, along with the team's first berth in the NCAA Division II Playoffs since 1998. Wheeler likely ranks at the top in a long line of standout point guards at Edinboro. While not taking over as the starter until her junior season, she concluded her career with 682 assists, despite missing the final seven games of the 2003-04 campaign due to an injury. That figure is second all-time in the PSAC. In addition, Wheeler finished with 283 career steals, a figure which ranks fourth all-time at Edinboro. She fell just shy of reaching 1,000 points for her career, finishing with 932. The Iorfido name (Wheeler's maiden name) is well known in Edinboro Athletics, where her family has had quite an impact. Her father, Rich, was a standout linebacker for the Edinboro football team from 1970-72, and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in April 2007. Callie joined her father as a member of the Edinboro Hall of Fame in October 2016. Younger sister Mandie was a standout catcher in softball, and a two-time All-PSAC West performer. A native of Ambridge, Pa., Wheeler received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education in December 2006, along with a minor in Coaching. She graduated with a 3.46 GPA. She was married to Dan Wheeler on July 10, 2010, and the couple resides in Edinboro with their daughter Amya Marie and son Kobe James. Jamison Dietrich
Head Coach
In Dietrich’s second year with Edinboro, he coached Kate Szep to a national championship appearance in cross country where she finished 155th. He also coached Kadi Bauer to a 2nd place finish at the conference championships in the mile. In total Dietrich has coached 10x All-Conference, 3x All-Region, and 3x All-American runners at Edinboro. In Dietrich’s first year with Edinboro, he coached Kylie Anicic to All-American finishes in both cross country and track. Anicic placed 12th at the National Cross Country Meet. In the spring Anicic broke the conference and school record in the 10,000m running 33:25.55. This time was also the 15th fastest time ever run by a division 2 female. Anicic also broke the school record in the 5,000m running 16:14.07. Anicic placed 6th in both the 10,000m and 5,000m at the national championship. Anicic ended her career being a 7x All-American and 18x Conference Champion. Dietrich is continuing to coach Anicic post collegiately. Since graduating Anicic has competed at the USATF 10k and 20k National Championships. Dietrich took over the Edinboro Cross Country teams ahead of the 2023 season. He comes to Edinboro from Bismarck State College where he served as the head coach for both the cross country and track & field squads. While there, he created the cross country and track programs. In his first season at the helm, the brand-new Mystics program had three All-Americans. He built the track & field roster to over 50 athletes prior to year two. In his time with the Mystics, he had three NJCAA Track & Field All-Americans, six NJCAA Track & Field national qualifiers and one NJCAA Cross Country national qualifier. Prior to his time at Bismarck State, he served on the coaching staff at his alma mater the University of Mary. He spent a year as a graduate assistant before being elevated to Head Cross Country Coach. In that season as the head coach of the Marauder program, Dietrich helped the women to a 10th-place finish at the national championships with the top finisher coming in at an All-American finish of 17th. The Marauder men had their best season in school history placing second at the conference championships and sixth at the regional meet. During the track season Dietrich’s athletes broke school records in the women’s 800m and men’s 3,000m. Elizabeth Acheson qualified for the indoor national meet in the 800m running 2:10.72. Taylor Hestekin had an All-American finish in the mile running 4:48.04. Two different men broke the school record in the 3,000m running 8:24.10 and 8:23.28. Dietrich’s women also set the indoor national D2 record in the 4x800m relay running 9:06.60. Prior to the University of Mary, Dietrich coached at Century High School in Bismarck, ND for three years. During his time with Century high school, his teams won 4 state championships and produced 6 individual or relay state champions. Dietrich graduated from the University of Mary with a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. He was awarded “Outstanding Research Award” for his work on the effects of arch stiffness and foot length on running economy in collegiate distance runners.

Taylor Cudequest
Head Coach
In Coach Taylor's first season as a Fighting Scot, he has coached 3 new School record holders on the team as well as PSAC Champion Madeline Newark who is now the record holder in the Pentathlon with 3,487 points. Bern Zukina and Anna Elder added to the accolades, both performing school record performances of 56.47 in the 400m and 16.70 in the weight throw. Taylor Cudequest took over as the head coach of the Edinboro track & field teams in May of 2024. Cudequest comes to Edinboro after serving as the assistant track & field coach at Sacred Heart. At Sacred Heart, he coached the multi, high jump and pole vault helping three Pioneers to NEC Championships. Coach Taylor coached Owen Nassaney who broke indoor men's high jump record of 2.11 meters during his time with the Pioneers. Prior to Sacred Heart, Cudequest served as an assistant coach at Cerritos College. In his four-years at Cerritos he operated track meets and planned team events while training post collegiately. He Coached Bryce Pearson to an All-American position in the Decathlon and helped Pearson to a second-place finish at the 2022 USA U20 championships in the Decathlon. As an athlete, Cudequest qualified for the New Balance Indoor and Outdoor National Championships, where he placed third in the country and earned All-American honors. In 2021, he qualified for the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships and was 11th overall in the heptathlon.

Annie Rutledge
Assistant Coach
Annie Rutledge joined the Edinboro Track & Field staff as a Graduate Assistant Coach ahead of the 2025–26 season. A former student-athlete and emerging coach, Rutledge brings a strong foundation in team leadership, athlete development, and technical event understanding to the Fighting Scots program. She most recently graduated from Monmouth University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, where she was a team captain and a six-time conference point scorer for the Hawks. During her time at Monmouth, she competed in multiple events throughout her career ranging from the multis, sprints, hurdles, and relays and was recognized with the Monmouth Athletics Leadership Award in 2024. Rutledge has experience coaching youth athletes in a variety of settings. She served as a coaching intern at Asylum Sports Center, where she supported speed and agility training for youth athletes, and was an assistant coach at Monmouth University's Track & Field Summer Camp. In both roles, she provided individualized feedback and technique instruction across track and field disciplines including sprinting, jumping, and throwing. Her coaching philosophy centers around building athlete confidence, fostering team cohesion, and developing technically sound performance. In addition to her athletic background, Rutledge is certified in multiple areas of athlete safety and performance through NFHS, including concussion awareness, mental health, and sports nutrition. She also served on the Monmouth Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, where she helped advocate for athlete wellness and engagement initiatives. A native of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Rutledge was a state and sectional champion in high school and continues to bring the same competitive spirit and attention to detail into her coaching career.
