Emory University Men's Basketball

Hixon joined the Athletics and Recreation team in June 2024 as an Associate AD for Student-Athlete Success & Compliance after previously serving as an Academic Advisor within the Office for Undergraduate Education for over three years. In this role, Hixon will be tasked with building upon the foundation of the Eagle Edge program as well as overseeing rules and education compliance for Emory student-athletes and staff. Hixon, who is currently an assistant coach with the men's basketball program, will also maintain his coaching duties with the team. Hixon graduated from Emory Oxford and Emory University with a degree in Political Science and was a member of the basketball programs on both campuses where he captured All-UAA Honorable Mention and NJCAA Second Team All-America honors. He later obtained a master's degree in Higher Education from Mercer University in 2015.
