Chapell parlayed his college playing success into coaching immediately upon graduation by being named head freshmen girls and assistant varsity coach at Haverhill High School in 2008 and as head coach of the Latitude 42s 17-1 boys volleyball team in 2008. Chapell also coached numerous camps, such as the Nike Volleyball Camp at Endicott and the MVC Camp at Central Catholic High School.
