Jeff Bricker
Head Coach
The 2025-26 season will be the 12th for Jeff Bricker as the head coach of Fairfield Men's and Women's Tennis. Bricker has amassed a total of 166 wins between both programs, bolstered by MAAC records of 41-25 (.621) with the men and 45-22 (.672) as leader of the women's team. He has a pair of MAAC Women's Tennis Championships (2019, 2024) and was named MAAC Coach of the Year in both campaigns. Bricker also won the MAAC Regular Season Championship in 2024 for both the men's and women's teams and also guided the men to the MAAC Regular Season Championship in 2023. In the postseason, Bricker has led the men's team to three of the last five MAAC Championship finals, and the Stags have qualified for the conference tournament in eight of the last nine campaigns (excluding 2020 -- no tournament held). For the women, the pair of MAAC Championships highlights a run that includes five trips to the conference final during a stretch of six consecutive postseason appearances. Bricker came to Fairfield from the University of New Haven, where he served as the head coach for the women's tennis program for three years. Prior to New Haven, Bricker served as the head coach for the men's and women's tennis programs at Albertus Magnus College for one season. A 2002 graduate of Sacred Heart, Bricker was a four-year member of the varsity tennis team, where he served as a captain for this last three seasons. In 2000, he received the Coaches' Award which was presented for the greatest contribution to the tennis program. Bricker, a native of Branford, Conn., also holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Quinnipiac University School of Law.

Chris Pappas
Assistant Coach
Chris Pappas is in his fourth season with Fairfield Tennis in 2025-26. Pappas joined the Stags after eight seasons as the head coach of the Quinnipiac men’s program from 2014-2022. In his three completed years with the Stags, the men's and women's teams have reached the MAAC Championship Match a combined total of five times, including a 2024 MAAC Women's Tennis Championship. Both squads also won the MAAC Regular Season Championship in 2024, with the men also winning the regular season crown in 2023. Pappas was a two-time MAAC Coach of the Year as the leader of the Bobcats, guiding Quinnipiac to a 33-13 conference record with three trips to the MAAC Championship Match. Pappas, who previously served as an assistant at Quinnipiac for one season, is a USPTA Certified Professional and has over 20 years coaching and tennis teaching experience. He spent three years as the Director of Elite Junior Tennis at the North Haven Health & Racquet Club. He presently serves as the USTA CT Junior Team Coach and oversees all aspects of Tournament Training Programs, including hiring and scheduling responsibilities. He also provides private individual and group lessons to all ages. Pappas was the Tennis Professional from 1990-2004, before taking on his current role in 2010. After graduating from Quinnipiac University Law School in 2003, Pappas opened his own practice and has an office located in Hamden, Conn. He has a general legal practice with a professional emphasis on residential and commercial real estate. Pappas earned Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communication from Southern Connecticut State University in 1996.

Ed Paige

One of the all-time greats in MAAC Tennis history, Ed Paige is in his 24th season as a part of Fairfield Tennis in 2024-25. Paige was the head coach of both the men's and women's teams from 2006-14 after five years an assistant; he retired as head coach and assumed his current role prior to the 2014-15 season. During his time as head coach of the Stags, Paige won one MAAC Championship (2012) and Regular Season Championship (2009) leading the men's team, and racked up three MAAC Championship (2009, 2010, 2012) and four Regular Season Championships (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013) with the women. Paige was a two-time MAAC Coach of the Year and represented Fairfield Women's Tennis as one of two coaches tabbed to the MAAC 40th Anniversary Team. In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Paige has coached extensively at the youth level. He spent two years as the Director of Junior Tennis in the town of Fairfield, and was also an assistant coach for the boy's junior varsity tennis team at Greens Farms Academy in Westport, Conn. Paige spent six years as an editor at World Tennis Magazine and was the editor of Tennis USA, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) official monthly newspaper. From there Paige worked at some of the top publishing companies in the country, including Paragon House, while teaching feature writing and copy editing at New York University. More recently, Paige spent two years as an editor at The Advocate, Stamford's daily newspaper followed by three years as managing editor of Westport Magazine before turning his attention to tennis full time. Paige earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1974 and attended the Breadloaf School of English at Middlebury College in 1976 and 1977.
