Kaylyn Christopher
Head Coach
Christopher, a former two-time All-American at West Virginia University, is in her first season as the women's cross country coach at Fairmont State. In her time with the Mountaineers, she earned All-American honors in the Distance Medley Relay (eighth place) and Mile Run (12th) as a member of the track and field team. Christopher also qualified for nationals four times as a member of the WVU cross country team, placing in the top 10 each year. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Christopher was a two-time Academic All-American. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in philosophy from West Virginia University in 2011. Coaching cross country at Fairmont State University is an opportunity I simply couldnt pass up." Christopher said. "As a former collegiate athlete who is still very passionate about the sport, Im looking forward to helping other athletes reach their full potential." "Im thrilled to have been named to this position, and Im beyond excited about the future of the cross country program at FSU. Christopher is currently employed as a public relations specialist for the WVU College of Law. In addition, Christopher trains year-around and intends to continue racing competitively. From 2008-12, Christopher was a volunteer coach for the West Virginia Flyers track club.
