Ferrum College Men's Lacrosse

Frey brings with him 30 years of lacrosse experience as a player and coach. In Frey's inagural season at the helm of the men's lacrosse program, the Panthers finished a game shy of a .500 record and finished sixth among 17 NCAA Division III independent schools by .  In 2013, the Panthers set a new school record for season wins with eight.  Frey came to Ferrum from Loyola Marymount University, where he served the past four years as head men's lacrosse coach, which competes in the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA). Frey led the Lions to a 13-5 record, including a 3-2 mark in the Southwest Lacrosse Conference, earning SLC Coach of the Year honors.  It was the most successful season in LMU program history, and included wins over MCLA National Tournament participants University of Colorado and Texas State University. The Lions also posted wins in 2010 over University of Texas and University of Arizona, both top-25 teams.  LMU closed out the season with a #17 national ranking.  Frey also led the Lions to their first-ever playoff win, an 11-5 victory over University of San Diego in the 2010 SLC Tournament. Frey played collegiate lacrosse a year at Ohio State University before transferring to Western Maryland University (now McDaniel College), where he played three years for the #10-ranked Green Terror. Frey hails from McLean, Virginia, and prepped at McLean High School, where he was a two-time All-Northern Virginia player.Mark Frey

Sewell played four years at Huntingdon College, starting as a midfielder. He graduated ranked first in school history in points, assists, ground balls, faceoff wins and faceoff win percentage. Sewell was named twice to the USA South All-Academic team, was named Huntingdon's Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2014, and was named to the 2015 All SEILC Team. He has worked previously with Alabama club teams including Bamalax out of Birmingham and Gulf States Elite out of Montgomery. He also served as a volunteer coach at Montgomery YMCA lacrosse clinics. Sewell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Huntingdon, majoring in Biology. He also served as the Student Athlete Advisory Committee President, and is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, national leadership honor society.Brandon Sewell
