Foothill College Men's Football

Kragen has been with the Foothill program since 2016. He has helped produce multiple all conference players including 2019 Pac7 DPOY DT Jordan Levu. Most recently he has produced All-State Players 2024 Josh Shanklin (Arizona State) and Doug Adams 2025 (Mississippi State). Kragen is a former defensive lineman in the National Football League including three Super Bowls and five championship games. He was selected for the Pro Bowl in 1989 and made the All-Madden team twice. Kragen went to high school at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, California and then played college football at Utah State University. His NFL career lasted thirteen years. He played nine seasons for the Broncos followed by a year for the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the 1995 NFL Expansion Draft, and played his final three seasons with that team. He is 226th in all times games played in the NFL, at 200. Brandon Younger has been with with the program since 2021. He was also an assistant in 2018 and 2019. Younger, a native of Oakland, CA, started his football playing days with the East Bay Warriors youth football program at the age of eleven. He then played high school football at Oakland Technical High School where he received all-league honors as a senior. Younger then went on to attend the College of the Sequoias where he played two years and earned an athletic scholarship to Langston University. At Langston University Younger helped lead his team to its first Red River conference championship in eleven years.   In 2008 Younger began his coaching career at Alameda High School, serving as varsity defensive backs coach for six years: coaching current NFL receiver Keelan Doss. In 2015, his first year at Oak Grove High School, Coach Younger, as the defensive backs coach led his unit to a Central Coast Section leading 18 interceptions, while being a part of a staff that won its first Central Coast Section title in eight years.   Joining the Owl program in 2018, in 2019, Younger help lead Foothill College to its first undefeated season in school history. In 2021 at City College of San Francisco as the defensive backs coach, Youngers unit finished number one in the country in interceptions and helped lead the team to a 13-0 National Championship season.   Along with Coach Youngers understand of the game, he also carries a philosophy that most describe as player friendly with a strong focus on technique, academics, and attitude. Get Grades, Make Plays is a motto that he strongly enforces upon his student-athletes. The concept that if you get grades in the classroom and make plays on the field, you can accomplish whatever you want resonates throughout whatever scholastic football forum Coach Younger is a part of.   Younger is currently the defensive coordinator at Foothill Junior College. He and his wife, Ladina, have four children (sons Braylen and Beau and daughters Brooklyn and Bailey). 

Coach Coleman took over as the offensive coordinator in 2022 and has been with the Foothill program since 2017.  In his first year as a play caller in 2002, the Owls averaged 42 points per game (3rd in State), 443 yards per game (4th in State), and 235 rush yards per game (2nd in state).   Kenny was a First-Team All-California receiver for Foothill 2001 College after attending high school locally at Gunn High School.  After Foothill Kenny attended Utah State University where he played receiver for the Aggies for two years while completing his undergraduate degree. Coach Leonard enters his fourth season with the Owls and his first as Defensive Coordinator. Known for his attention to detail and player development, Coach Leonard has been instrumental in building a disciplined, fast, and physical defensive unit. Prior to a successful playing career at San Jose State where he was an All-Mountain West Academic Team honoree, Dion was a Linebacker at Foothill receiving All-conference honors and leading the Owls as a team captain, to a Pac-7 Title in 2019.
