Head Coach
Mohr enters her second season as head softball coach at Fort Hays State University in 2016. Mohr guided the Tigers to a 26-27 record in her first year at the helm. She coached seven players to All-MIAA status, helping the Tigers continue their streak of reaching the MIAA Tournament every year since joining the conference in 2006-07. Mohr returned to Fort Hays State after spending two years as an assistant coach with Emporia State University under Julie LeMaire, former FHSU head coach. She helped the team compile an overall record of 87-34, including NCAA Central Region appearances both years. The 2014 ESU team won the MIAA regular season title, and boasted the No. 1 ranked pitcher nationally in wins (Kaitlyn Caston 36 wins) and two All-Americans (Stephanie Goodwin and Jessica Gragg). As an assistant, Mohr was responsible for helping with all areas of the softball program, specifically as the outfield coach and lending a hand in pitching, infield and hitting, as well as strength and conditioning. Additionally, Mohr assisted with recruiting and budget management, while handling the daily operations of the office fundraising, travel, academics and scheduling. Prior to ESU, Mohr served two years as a Graduate Assistant Coach at FHSU under LeMaire (2011) and Erin Kinberger (2012), coaching 15 All-MIAA performers and helping the squad to a combined 61-41 record over two years. Mohr brings a successful track record to the Tigers, having been an All-MIAA performer with FHSU and helped coach teams to at least 30 wins in all four of her years as an assistant at the collegiate level (148-75 overall). Mohr competed for the Tigers from 2007-10 as a pitcher and an outfielder, finishing with a career batting average of .304. At the plate, she racked up 197 hits, 44 doubles, 10 triples, 15 home runs. In the circle, Mohr picked up 28 wins with 37 complete games, striking out 199 and tallying two saves in 374 innings pitched. All told, Mohrs name is listed in the Tigers career record book on several occasions, including doubles (No. 2, 44), runs batted in (No. 2, 121), triples (tied-No. 2, 10), total bases (No. 3, 306), runs scored (No. 3, 116), hits (No. 4, 197), home runs (tied-No. 6, 15) and games played (No. 7, 201). In her time wearing a Tiger uniform, Mohr earned four letters, was given the Impact Player Award (2007) and Unsung Hero Award (2009) by her team, in addition to being named the teams Most Valuable Player her senior year. That same year, 2010, Mohr was an All-MIAA First Team selection after hitting .360 with 10 home runs, 16 doubles, three triples and 50 runs batted in, while scoring 44 runs and swiping 11 bases. Her .657 slugging percentage led the team as well that year. From Thornton, Colo., Mohr holds two degrees from Fort Hays State University, completing her bachelors in Recreation and Sport Management (2010) and a masters in Exercise Science (2012).
