Assistant Coach
Lundy was appointed Franklin Colleges head womens golf in July 2007 and has guided the Grizzlies to NCAA national competition in 10 of the previous 13 years. He served as head men's golf coach from 2009 through 2015, succedding 10-time conference coach of the year Richard Park, who had guided the program for 31 seasons. Lundy found immediate success in the 2007-08 fall and spring seasons, guiding the Grizzlies to their first HCAC Championship since 2002, which gave FC an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championships, along with being named HCAC Coach of the Year in his first year as head of the womens golf program. Moreover, Lundy coached standout player, Katie Tewell 08, whose achievements included a second-place finish at the 2008 NCAA Division III championships, was a three-time national tournament qualifier, a three-time All-America First Team selection, a two-time PING National Golf Coaches Association Player of the Year, a three-time HCAC MVP and medalist, and was chosen as one of five players to represent Team USA at the 12th World University Golf Championship in Sun City, South Africa. In 2009-10, Lundy guided the Franklin womens squad to the HCAC title and another automatic qualification to the NCAA Division III Championship. Lundy, who has been the Director of the Gongaware Golf Academy at the Indiana Golf Association office in Franklin since 2004, had been consulting with the colleges womens golf program for the past several seasons. His previous college head coaching experience was at Manchester College from 1994 to 2004, where he started the womens program. He succeeded Steve Richards, who had a player qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships five times and was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year twice after guiding the Grizzlies to respective HCAC titles in 2001 and 2002. Lundy is a 1984 graduate of Ferris State University, where he studied business and marketing with a professional golf management endorsement. While coaching at Manchester, he was head PGA Golf Professional at Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, Ind. from 1993 to 2004. Lundy was named the HCAC womens golf Coach of the Year in 2003 and 2004, was recognized with the Indiana PGA Junior Golf Leader Award in 1991 and 2006 and was the recipient of the U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Kids Teacher honor in 2005 and 2006.
