Alton began his second season as an assistant coach with the Franklin & Marshall wrestling program in the 2016-17 season. Alton is a 2015 graduate from Penn State, where he wrestled under renowned head coach Cael Sanderson. Alton was present for one of the most successful runs in collegiate wrestling history as the Nittany Lions captured four consecutive NCAA National Championships from 2011-14. Starting his collegiate career at 141, Alton received the Shalles Award as a freshman by accumulating 18 pins, placed fifth at the Big Ten Championships and was an NCAA Qualifier. He went 2-2 at the tournament with a pin and a major decision, finishing just one win shy of All-America status. He moved up to the 149 weight class after his first year in State College and again qualified for the NCAAs as a sophomore, placing fourth in the Big Ten Tournament and assisting his teams National Championship run with a key pin. Alton had an identical twin brother, Dylan, on the team, who was an All-American his freshman year after taking third at Nationals. Graduating from Central Mountain High School in 2010, he was a two-time Pennsylvania State Champion (2009-10) and a four-time Asics Junior Freestyle National Champion. He received his Bachelors Degree in Recreation Park Tourism Management.

Mike Rogers
Coach
Rogers begins his seventh season as Franklin & Marshall's head wrestling coach in 2016-17. He has sent an F&M wrestler to the NCAA Tournament in five of his six seasons in Lancaster and has guided the Diplomats to 11 Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) place winnings, including Richard Durso's gold-medal finishes at the 2013 and 2016 championship meets. Under the tutelage of Rogers, Rick Durso '16 became the only two-time EIWA Champion in program history with his 4-0 performance at the 2016 conference championships. Antonio Pelusi '18 won four out of five consolation matchups, including upset victories over the bracket's No.'s 4, 5 and 8 wrestlers at 285 to secure fifth place, while Scott Stevens took eighth at 133. The trio of Diplomats guided F&M to a 12th-place finish out of 16 teams with 36.5 points, finishing ahead of Hofstra, Sacred Heart, and Brown. Both Durso and Pelusi snagged automatic bids into the NCAA Tournament that took place in historic Madison Square Garden, marking the first time since 1994 that F&M had multiple student-athletes represented. Durso became the first four-time NCAA Qualifier in program history. He went 2-2 at the tournament and finished in the top-16 for the third time, bringing an end to his illustrious career. The redshirt senior captain wrapped up the season with a 39-10 record, which tied his season win's record and gave him a program-best 145-38 mark for his career. Durso also earned an automatic bid to the tournament after capturing third-place at the Eastern Collegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) Championships in 2014, claiming a spot on the medal stand for the third straight year. At the NCAA Championships, Durso (37-6) registered a 3-3 record to take eighth-place and become F&Ms first All-American since Craig Blackman in 1981. With a 7-6 dual-meet record, the Diplomats finished out its 2013-14 season with the programs first winning record in eight years. Along the way, Rogers guided F&M to a Mid-Penn Duals Championship, hosted by Millersville in January, as well as a victory over Bucknell at home by a thrilling 23-21 score on Feb. 14. Rogers helped the Diplomats achieve four EIWA place winners in 2011-12, the most in a single season at F&M since 1976. A two-time NCAA All-American, Rogers spent the 2009-10 season at American University as the head assistant coach. The Eagles produced three All-Americans and recorded its best NCAA finish in 14th place while posting the nations second-best grade point average. Rogers has spent the previous six years as the head coach of the Pennsylvania Junior Freestyle Team, which he guided to two junior freestyle championships. He also served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Lock Haven University, for seven years. Rogers spent three seasons as the head coach at Central Mountain High School in Mill Hall, Pa., from 1999-2002, leading the team to a 29-16 overall record. In 2001, Rogers was named the District 6 AAA Coach of the Year. A 1997 graduate of Lock Haven University, Rogers was a four-year member of the wrestling team and earned All-America status during his last two seasons. A three-time national championships qualifier, Rogers earned the 1996 Gorrarian Award, recording the most pins in the least amount of time at nationals. Rogers was also a two-time Eastern Wrestling League Champion and is one of seven Bald Eagles and one of 12 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference to win four conference crowns. He is also one of only 14 wrestlers in Lock Haven history to reach 100 wins, recording a career mark of 112-28. A native of Fort Myers, Fla., Rogers was a Florida State Champion in 1992 and a national runner-up that same year during his high school career. Rogers received his B.A. in Special Education from Lock Haven University in 1997 and a Master's in Education in 2002. He and his wife, Danielle, have two sons, Caden, and Teagen.
