KJ Florence
Head Coach
K.J. Florence joined the Panthers football staff as the head strength and conditioning coach in 2024 Florence reunites with head coach Dell McGee, both former UGA football staff members. Previously, Florence served as the assistant director of strength and conditioning at Virginia Tech in 2023. Before joining the Hokies, Florence served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Ole Miss from 2020-22. He worked primarily with the running backs, tight ends, quarterbacks and specialists during his tenure at Ole Miss, helping the program earn a berth in the 2022 Sugar Bowl and a victory in the 2021 Outback Bowl. Florence spent the 2019 season at Marshall, serving as assistant strength and conditioning coach for football and softball. Prior to joining the Thundering Herd, Florence worked as an intern on the University of Georgia strength and conditioning staff in 2018, where he worked with the football program. The Virginia Beach, Virginia native received a master's degree in kinesiology from Georgia in 2019 and graduated with ODU with a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2014. He received his Master of Science in Kinesiology in 2019; where he also earned his CSCS certification through the NSCA.

Casey Roddick
Assistant Coach
Casey Roddick was elevated to assistant coach of the offensive line in January 2026. Previously, he served as an offensive analyst for the Panthers during the 2025 season. In that role, he assisted with game preparation, film breakdown and the day-to-day development of the Panthers’ offensive line unit. Roddick joined the program as a graduate assistant in 2024, where he supported the offensive staff with practice planning, opponent scouting and administrative duties.

Dameyune Craig
Assistant Coach
Dameyune Craig enters his second season as the Georgia State football wide receivers coach in 2025. During his first season with the Panthers, Craig led 2024 All-Sun Belt Second-Team receiver Ted Hurst to a record setting seaosn with the Panthers. Under Craig's guidance, Hurst broke the program record for single-season touchdowns. Craig joined the Georgia State program as receivers coach in 2024 after six seasons (2018-23) at Texas A&M, where also he coached wideouts. Craig reunites with Georgia State head coach Dell McGee, his former teammate at Auburn in the 1990s. Before going to Texas A&M in 2018, Craig had previous stints with Florida State (2010-12 and 2017), Auburn (2013-15), LSU (2004 & 2016), South Alabama (2008-09), Tuskegee (2006-07) and the Miami Dolphins (2005). Throughout his career, he has been recognized as an outstanding recruiter. In football recruiter rankings compiled by 247Sports, he was rated No. 4 nationally in 2016 and No. 9 in 2014, and he was named the 2012 Recruiter of the Year in the Atlantic Coast Conference by Scout.com. Craig served as quarterbacks coach and recruiting coordinator at Florida State from 2010-12. He helped develop quarterbacks EJ Manuel and Christian Ponder, both NFL first-round draft picks, while coordinating recruiting efforts that produced the nation's No. 1 and No. 2 recruiting classes in 2011-12, including 2013 Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston, also a first-round draft pick. Craig helped lead the Seminoles to a 31-10 record in those three seasons. Craig returned to his alma mater for three seasons as Auburn's co-offensive coordinator and receivers coach. He was part of the Tigers' 2013 team that won the Southeastern Conference title and advanced to the BCS National Championship game. He moved to LSU for one season (2016) as receivers coach and then returned to Florida State in a quality control role in 2017. Before his first stint at Florida State, he spent two seasons at South Alabama (2008-09), coaching wide receivers for the program in its first two years of play, and two seasons as quarterbacks coach at Tuskegee (2006-07), where he helped the Golden Tigers to a two-year record of 22-2, including a pair of SIAC tiles and the 2007 Black College National Championship. Craig began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at LSU in 2004, followed by a one-year stint in the NFL as a special teams assistant for the Miami Dolphins in 2005. Craig was record-setting quarterback at Auburn from 1994-97, leading the Tigers to an 18-7 mark in 25 career starts. He was named offensive most valuable player in the 1996 Independence Bowl and again the following year in the Peach Bowl before capping his collegiate career with MVP honors at the Senior Bowl. He also earned Academic All-SEC honors as a senior in 1997. A 2002 graduate of Auburn, Craig signed as a free agent quarterback with the NFL's Carolina Panthers and appeared in six games over a four-year stretch. He also played in NFL Europe, where he passed for a single-game league record 611 yards, and in the Arena Football League.

Jim Durning
Assistant Coach
Jim Durning joined the Panthers’ football staff in 2024 as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for football. Durning brings a wealth of experience to the Panthers, having previously held strength and conditioning roles at Georgia, Southern Mississippi, Charlotte, and James Madison. Most recently, he served as a volunteer strength and conditioning coach at the University of Georgia from 2021–2022, marking a return to the Bulldogs' program after a 22-year absence. Before his second stint at Georgia, Durning was the Director of Strength and Conditioning and head strength coach for football at Southern Mississippi. In 2012, Durning was named the inaugural Strength and Conditioning Coach for Football at Charlotte. He played a key role in establishing the 49ers program, guiding them through the 2012 redshirt season and their first four years of competition. Prior to that, Durning spent 13 seasons as the strength and conditioning coach at James Madison University. During his tenure, the Dukes compiled a 96–61 record and made six FCS playoff appearances, including a 2004 National Championship and a trip to the 2008 National Semifinals. A 1992 graduate of Marshall University, Durning captained the Thundering Herd’s National Championship team that same year. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Marshall from 1994–1996, contributing to the team’s 1995 national finalist season. He later joined the Georgia Bulldogs, where he was part of two bowl game appearances before moving on to work under head coach Mickey Matthews at James Madison. Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, Durning and his wife, Nancy, have four children: Alexandria, Morgan, Mason, and Colin.

Zach Conowal
Coach
Zach Conowal was elevated to special teams coordinator in January 2026. Previously, he served as a special teams analyst during the 2025 season under coordinator Carter Blount. In that role, he assisted with the planning, evaluation and execution of the Panthers’ special teams units. Conowal began his time with the program as a graduate assistant in 2024, supporting the coaching staff with daily operations, film breakdown and game preparation.

Chantel Audaine
Coach
Chantel Audaine serves as the Director of Football Video Operations at Georgia State University, a role she has held since February 2022. She began her journey with the Panthers as a video intern in 2021. Audaine manages the day-to-day operations of the football video department which includes providing practice, games, opponent and NFL video to the staff and players. She also provides technical support to the staff while overseeing the management of the Catapult Thunder video database. In 2023, Chantel was honored as a selected participant in the NFL Women’s Forum, a recognition of her leadership and potential in the world of football operations. She holds an Associate of Science in Sport Management from Georgia State Perimeter College (2019) and a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Sport Administration with a minor in Hospitality Administration from Georgia State University (2021). Chantel is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Sport Management at the University of West Georgia.

Cameron Lemons was elevated to the Director of Football Operations in 2025. Previously, he served as the Panthers' recruiting director in 2024. Lemons follows head coach Dell McGee from the University of Georgia, where he served as the assistant recruiting coordinator.

Stephanie Weiss

Stephanie Weiss returned to Georgia State to serve as the Director of Equipment in March 2025. Previously, Weiss served as the Assistant Director of Equipment at Georgia State in 2022, where she worked under the previous leadership of the GSU football team, under former head coach Shawn Elliott. She was elevated to the assistant director position after working as an equipment manager during the 2018 and 2019 season. While working as an equipment manager, Weiss had the opportunity to experience the 2019 UPSET at Tennessee, which marks as her favorite memory at Georgia State. Between serving her two roles as assistant director and equipment manager, Weiss worked as an equipment GA for Arkansas State while working toward her graduate degree. She obtained her M.S. in Sport Administration from Arkansas State in 2021. The native of Roswell, Ga. earned her bachelor's degree from Georgia State in 2020, where she worked 3 seasons as a student manager for football.

Rod Rook-Chungong

Rod Rook-Chungong joined the Gerogia State football staff in 2024 as the Direcotr of Player Personnel and Community Engagement. Previously, Rook-Chungong served as the football staff assistant at Gerogia Tech for two seasons, serving his alma mater. Rook-Chungong, a former Georgia Tech defensive end, played in 36 games with 27 starts over his final three seasons as a Yellow Jacket from 2014-16. He started all 13 games as a senior in 2016, when he ranked fourth on the team with 4.5 tackles for loss. For his career, he tallied 63 tackles and nine tackles for loss. After concluding his playing career and graduating from Tech with a bachelor’s degree in literature, media and communication in December 2016, Rook-Chungong turned down an opportunity to pursue a professional playing career to accept a job with Mondelez (formerly Kraft Foods). A native of Silver Spring, Md., Rook-Chungong was a member of the ACC academic honor roll as a student-athlete at Tech.
