Grand Valley State University Women's Soccer

TJ Ifaturoti is set to begin his third season on the GVSU coaching staff in 2025. In his first two season on staff at GVSU, Ifaturoti helped lead the Lakers to back-to-back Midwest Regional Championships in 2023 and 2024. In the 2024 season, three Lakers earned United Soccer Coaches All-American honors and five players were named to the Midwest All-Region first team. Ifaturoti played college soccer at Davenport from 2013-17. He was a member of the Davenport team that won the NAIA National Championship in 2014. During his four seasons at Davenport, Ifaturoti appeared in 94 matches making 53 starts. Ifaturoti ranks second in Davenport history with 53 goals, 23 assists,  and 129 points. He ranks first in Panthers history with 94 game played and 19 career game-winning goals. Ifaturoti earned a degree in Business Administration from Davenport and currently holds a USSF "C" coaching license. 

Jade Smith enters her first season as an assistant women's soccer in the 2025 season.  Smith comes to GVSU after serving as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at St. Cloud State for six seasons. During her time at St. Cloud State, Smith helped lead the program to its first and second NCAA national tournament appearances in the 2023 and 2024 seasons. In the 2023 season, Smith helped lead the Huskies to their first regular season conference championship in program history. Smith, who holds a USSF "A" coaching license, served as the Technical Director for the Magic Soccer Football Club in Bismarck, North Dakota from 2016 to 2019 and was a coach with the Olympic Development Program (ODP) for North Dakota and South Dakota. She also served on the staff of the Region 2 ODP. In 2018 and 2019, Smith was a varsity assistant coach for the soccer team at Legacy High School in Bismarck, North Dakota and worked as a student assistant coach at Mary during the summer of 2018.   A 2018 graduate of the University of Mary, Smith was a standout four-year player for the Marauders from 2015 to 2018. She scored 11 goals, nine assists and 31 points during her collegiate career at Mary and was named to the All-NSIC team in 2017. The University of Mary Inspirational Athlete of the Year in 2017, Smith served as a team captain during her junior and senior seasons and also gained Academic All-NSIC accolades during her collegiate tenure. She majored in coaching and sports studies with a minor in sports management at Mary.

Bryce Beckley enters his first season as the goalkeeper coach in the 2026 season. Beckley comes to GVSU after serving as the graduate assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s soccer programs at Northern Michigan University for two seasons. During his time at Northern Michigan, Beckley helped lead the women’s program to an NCAA Tournament appearance in the 2024 season, highlighted by GLIAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships. In the 2025 season, Beckley helped guide the men’s program to the first GLIAC Tournament Championship in program history. Beckley served as the Director of Goalkeeping at Marquette United Soccer Club from 2024-2025 A 2024 Graduate of Northern Michigan University Beckley was a goalkeeper for the Wildcats in the 2023 season, taking over the starter job halfway through the campaign, where he started in six matches and recorded 30 saves, posted two shutouts, and a 1.50 GAA. He majored in athletic coaching education at NMU.  Before NMU, the Waterford, Wisconsin native began his collegiate playing career with two seasons at Wisconsin Lutheran College where he played in 27 matches over two seasons.
