Heather Charlton

Head Coach

Charlton MHA, ATC, LAT, joined the Gwynedd Mercy University athletic training staff  as an assistant in January 2022. She was elevated to the University Head Athletic Trainer in February 2024. Prior to her appointment with the Griffins, Charlton served as the head athletic trainer at St. Georges Technical High School (July – December, 2021) in Middletown, Delaware. At St. Georges Technical High School, she oversaw the treatment and care of all varsity, junior varsity, and freshmen teams, including basketball, cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, football, soccer, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling.     A 2019 graduate of Temple University, Charlton earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training while fulfilling her own student-athlete eligibility as a member of the Owls’ cheerleading team. She received her master's degree in business administration with a specialization in Healthcare Administration from Gwynedd Mercy University in 2024. Charlton also gained undergraduate experience rotating with various high schools across Philadelphia and New Jersey, as well as Temple University, Drexel University, and Chestnut Hill College. Following graduation, Charlton served as the athletic trainer for both the Temple cheerleading and dance teams during their journey to the 2021 Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Nationals. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Society (PATS).    Charlton currently resides in the South Philly neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she is an active community member who passionately volunteers with Girls on the Run. Girls on The Run empowers young girls at a critical stage, strengthening their confidence and empowering them while emphasizing the important connection between physical and emotional health. Outside of the athletic training room Charlton can be found spending time with loved ones, running the Schuylkill River Trail, or cheering on any of Philadelphia’s sports teams.

Reanna Bull

Assistant Coach

Reanna Bull joined the Gwynedd Mercy University cheerleading coaching staff prior to the 2025–2026 season as an assistant coach. Bull has been coaching cheerleading for over a decade, beginning her journey at Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic School and later at programs such as Lansdale Catholic High School and Montgomery County Community College. Throughout her career, she has led teams to impressive achievements, including an 8th-place finish at Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) High School Nationals and a 3rd-place at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) State Championship. Coach Bull holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a master’s degree in early childhood education from Arcadia University and she is currently working toward a professional career as an elementary school art teacher. She brings her creativity and passion for the arts into her coaching, fostering an environment where student-athletes can grow in both skill and self-expression.

Kelsey Mello

Assistant Coach

Kelsey Mello joined the Gwynedd Mercy University cheerleading coaching staff prior to the 2025–2026 season as an assistant coach. A Massachusetts native, now based in Philadelphia, Mello has been involved in cheerleading since the age of three. She continued in cheerleading through high school and later at Thomas Jefferson University, where she served as team captain during her senior year.   Kelsey completed a clinical rotation with the Gwynedd Mercy University Athletic Training staff, where she fell in love with the community and student-athletes. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and attending sporting events.   Mello holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and she is currently in her final year of Thomas Jefferson University’s athletic training master’s program.

Tori Holste

Assistant Coach

Tori Holste joined the Gwynedd Mercy University cheerleading coaching staff as an assistant prior to the 2024-2025 season. She has an extensive history in competitive cheer as an owner of National titles at the all-star and high school levels. She earned her bachelor’s degree in health professions with a minor in healthcare management from Temple University in 2020. Following her graduation from Temple University, she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Holy Family University (2023) and currently works as a full-time emergency room nurse in the Philadelphia area. In her spare time, Holste enjoys spending times with friends and family. She is active in Pilates and currently resides in South Philadelphia.
