Hamline University Women's Soccer

Michael Prunty will embark on his fifth season as Pipers head women's soccer coach in 2026 (43-61-24, six seasons: three at Coe, four at Hamline).   Prunty arrived to the Pipers from NCAA Division II Concordia-St. Paul, where he was the assistant women's soccer coach for two seasons. After no competition in 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Bears accumulated a 10-7-3 overall record and a spot in the NSIC Tournament Semifinal in 2021.   The Adel, Iowa native was previously the head women's soccer coach at NCAA Division III Coe College for three seasons from 2017-2019. His first season in 2017 resulted in a 12-4-3 overall record, and a No. 5 spot on the NCAA Division III North Region Ranking. The Kohawks registered a 30-20-6 mark throughout Prunty's three seasons. His tenure at Coe ended with 13 All-American Rivers Conference selections, two COSIDA Academic All-Americans, and three United Soccer Coaches All-Region honorees. Prunty was also a lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology at Coe.   Prior to Coe, Prunty was the head girl's soccer coach at Iowa City High School for four seasons.   Prunty's other collegiate coaching stops included two seasons as the head men's soccer coach at NAIA Culver-Stockton College from 2011-12, one season as assistant men's and women's soccer coach at Simpson in 2010, and two seasons as the assistant men's soccer coach at NAIA St. Ambrose University from 2008-2009.   His club coaching background includes stops at Minneapolis City, St. Croix Soccer Academy, Iowa Soccer Club, Quincy United Soccer Club, and Des Moines Menace Academy.   Prunty graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor of arts degree in physical education from Simpson in 2004. Megan Kaczmarek will begin her first season as a full-time assistant coach with the Hamline University women’s soccer program in 2026. Kaczmarek transitions into the full-time role after serving four seasons as an assistant coach for the Pipers. During her time on staff, she has contributed to all aspects of the program, including player development, recruiting, and game preparation. Most recently, Kaczmarek served as the Girls Director of Coaching for the Saint Paul Blackhawks. Since joining the club in August 2021, she oversaw player and coach development for the U11 through U19 age groups while also holding multiple roles within the organization, including staff coach, college liaison, and operations coordinator. Prior to her time with the Blackhawks, Kaczmarek spent three years with Salvo Soccer Club from 2018–2021. There, she balanced on-field coaching responsibilities with administrative duties as the club’s communications and social media coordinator. Kaczmarek began her collegiate coaching career in 2016 at North Central University through the NCAA Ethnic Women and Minorities Grant. During her two-year internship and assistantship, she also coached at Cottage Grove United through the summer of 2018. Kaczmarek earned her Master of Education in sport management from the University of Minnesota and holds a Bachelor of Arts in sport management from North Central University. She also holds a U.S. Soccer B License and the United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma.
