Mike is an exceptional recruiter and has a great sense of how to coach all things to do with baseball but certainly excels on the pitching side. As much as we hate to see Mike and Lindsay go, we wish them well and feel confident they will have a positive effect on the Hampden-Sydney community as a whole.” – Marietta (OH) Head Coach Brian Brewer “Mike Mulvey is a very thorough and thoughtful young coach. He will be outstanding as the guy in charge. Mike was always well prepared as a player and pitched at a national level. He’s furthered that preparation by being around national level head coaches at Marietta, Denison and Misericordia. I look forward to watching his teams play at a very high level.” – Marietta (OH) Director of Athletics and Recreation Larry Hiser “What a great hire for the Hampden-Sydney community. Mike Mulvey is one of the best young coaches out there. He is an exceptional recruiter, a great leader, and his personality will create value within the athletic department.” – Baldwin Wallace (OH) Head Coach Brian Harrison “I am thrilled that Coach Mulvey has earned the opportunity to lead the program at Hampden-Sydney. Mike has all the traits necessary to be a great head coach. His baseball acumen speaks for itself, but his professionalism and attention to detail are what sets him apart. Mike represents everything that is good about the coaching profession.” – Ohio Northern Head Coach Gene Stechschulte “Mike has a great deal of playing and coaching experience at a few highly regarded NCAA Division III baseball programs.
