Head Coach
Power, the women's track & field team has won two indoor and outdoor track & field Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championships. The conference named Power its 2012 and 2013 HCAC women's track & field coach of the year for both the indoor and outdoor seasons. In 2015, Power was appointed Director of the Cross Country and Track & Field programs. In the last five years, Power has coached 42 All-HCAC athletes and 40 Second Team All-HCAC athletes. His squads have broken 56 school records during his tenure. During the 2016 campaign, junior Savannah Hubbard and senior Joe Feldman both earned USTFCCCA NCAA DIII Great Lakes All-Region honors for the indoor season. Both were the first-ever Hanover athletes to receive this distinction. Hubbard also earned All-Region honors during the outdoor season and was named the HCAC Field Event Athlete of the Year for both the indoor and outdoor season. Feldmann and classmate Ashlee Arbaugh set HCAC records in the 400-meter run and shot put to cap the 2016 Indoor championship. In 2014, then-junior Briahna Chambers national qualifying mark of 5.67 meters (18'07.25"). Chambers was the first Hanover College field athlete to qualify for the NCAA DIII championship and the second Hanover athlete ever to do so. Chambers was also named HCAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Year during the 2013 season. He comes to Hanover after serving as track & field and cross country coach at the International School of Indiana since 2007. His teams yielded 18 academic all-state athletes, three all-state cross country runners and a sectional champion. In a previous coaching stint at Warrensburg-Latham High School, Power coached a state qualifier in the 3200-meter run and multiple school record holders. He is a 2003 graduate of DePauw University. While at DePauw, Power was a four-year member of the track & field and cross country squads. He earned the cross country team's Coaches Award in 2002. Power also has completed course work for a master's degree in English literature at Eastern Illinois University. Coach Power previously served as the USTFCCCA Great Lakes women's cross country representative and is a USTFCCCA Certified Track & Field Coach.
