Chelsea Patton
Head Coach
Chelsea Patton is in her 10th year on the staff at Hawai‘i Pacific, having served as Assistant Athletic Director, Internal Operations from 2014-2020 and Assistant Women's Tennis Coach from 2022 to present. While coaching for HPU, Patton was awarded the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Assistant Coach of the Year, West Region in 2023 where the team made a national high ranking of #2 for NCAA Division II. After winning the PacWest Conference Championship that 2023 Spring season, they ventured onwards to the NCAA Championships and came home semifinalists. Later that year, she traveled to France as the Assistant Coach of the USA National team for the Master’U BNP Paribas, helping lead USA to world victory with the top American collegiate tennis players in the country. She came to HPU from Whitman College (Wash.), where she coached the Blues to No. 16 in NCAA Division III in 2014 after winning the Northwest Conference Championships. On the team were two that she coached to be all-Americans. Patton, a top national junior player from her hometown of Boise, Idaho, was a four-year letterwinner at Eastern Washington University. She was named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic all four seasons on her way to earning Bachelor’s degrees in French and Business Administration in 2013. She earned a Master’s of Business Administration from HPU in May 2017. In her free time, you can find Coach Patton on Kailua beach with her two rescue pups, Koko and Meli.

Daisha Paulino
Head Coach
Daisha Paulino was named head coach of the HPU acrobatics and tumbling program on August 19, 2024. Before assuming the head coaching role, Paulino served as the assistant coach for two seasons at the University of Oregon from 2021 to 2023, as well as at Hawaii Pacific University from 2018 to 2020. During Paulino’s second season on staff, Oregon returned to the NCATA National Championship finals for the first time since 2019 with a record of 6-3. The Ducks earned three ranked victories in regular season action over Azusa Pacific (twice) and Gannon. Paulino helped coach several Ducks to accolades, including All-American recognition for Karly Nowak and Makena Carrion, individual event titles in the trio tumbling and six-element passes, and Nowak earning the 14th NCATA Athlete of the Week honor in program history. In her first season with the program, Paulino helped lead the Ducks to the NCATA Quarterfinals. Oregon finished with a 2-5 record against a loaded schedule that featured four teams in the NCATA Championships field and five top-ten opponents. The Ducks picked up wins over No. 2 Azusa Pacific and No. 5 Hawaii Pacific. Paulino helped coach Blessyn McMorris to NCATA Freshman of the Year honors, while Alyssa Hew was named to the NCATA All-America team. As a student-athlete, Paulino competed as a top and tumbler for Hawaii Pacific, earning All-American honors in 2017 and 2018. She also led the Sharks to the NCATA Quarterfinals in both seasons. Paulino, a native of Makakilo, HI, earned her Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from Hawaii Pacific in 2018. She received her Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletics Administration from Concordia University-Irvine in 2021
