Career Synopsis The 2025-26 season is Abrams' sixth as head men's golf coach and ninth as Dean of Student Affairs at Heidelberg 2024-25 Led team to two fall tournament championships Coached program to a school record low of 292 at the OAC Spring Preview 2023-24 Coached the Student Princes to a seventh place finish at the OAC Championships 2022-23 Led the Student Princes to an eighth-place finish at the OAC Championships Coached Josh Ferdon to an All-OAC performance Helped team shoot its lowest total in three years while winning the Yellow Jacket Invitational 2021-22 Guided the team to a ninth-place finish in the conference 2020-21 Led the team out of the COVID-19 hiatus Helped the team to a ninth-place finish at the OAC Tournament Bio taken from www.heidelberg.edu Dr. Abrams has 24 years of experience as a Student Affairs professional, 22 of them serving at small, private, liberal arts colleges and universities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Arkansas and Utah. Prior to his arrival at Heidelberg, he served 13 years as the Vice President for Student Development at Malone University. He has been active in the field of Student Affairs by presenting at multiple national and regional conferences as well as publishing articles and reviews in multiple journals.  Dr. Abrams’ passion is for the holistic growth that takes place in students during their time in college. In particular, he loves working with first-generation college students as he was one himself. He received his B.A. in Communication Arts from Malone University, his M.A. in Education from Alfred University and his Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Arkansas. He enjoys golf, traveling, cheering on the Student Princes, making (and eating) homemade ice cream and spending time with his family, which includes his wife, Melissa, and twin daughters, Faith and Hope.
