Head Coach

Kara LeLeux enters into her second season as head coach of the Hendrix Warriors softball program in 2026. FAST FACTS Years at Hendrix: 1 Overall Record: 13-24 Conference Record: 0-0 SCAC | 4-11 SAA AT HENDRIX LeLeux had a instant impact at Hendrix, leading the Warriors to a 13-24 season in her inaugural campaign, the program's winningest season since 2022. At the 2025 Southern Athletic Association tournament, Hendrix won defeated Sewanee and Centre to win the program's first postseason games since that same 2022 season. Under LeLeux's tutelage, Betty Wolfe was named All-SAA and All-Region by the NFCA. Rylee Harris joined Wolfe on the 2025 All-SAA first team, and Kendyl Patton, Layton Rogers, and Kaycee Schoen earned All-SAA honorable mention honors. Hendrix also landed five players on the CSC Academic All-District list. BEFORE HENDRIX LeLeux came to Hendrix via Covenant College (Ga.), where she led the Scots to their fifth 20-win season in program history and the program's highest-ever conference finish. During her time at Covenant, LeLeux coached 1 NFCA All-Region first team selection, 1 All-USA South first team selection, 4 All-USA South West Division honorees, and 6 USA South All-Academic honorees. LeLeux came to Covenant after a successful run as the head softball coach at Colorado High School in Colorado City, Texas, since 2017. In her four years as the head coach at Colorado ISD, LeLeux's teams won two area championships and made runs in the postseason three times. In LeLeux's final season at the helm, her team took its second area title in her tenure and advanced to the 2A Region championship game. LeLeux arrives with Division III experience, as she was a four-year standout at Hardin-Simmons University. A three-time All-American Southwest Conference honoree at first base, she had a career .307 average in 143 games with 17 homers and 50 extra-base hits. LeLeux was also a four-time selection to the Academic All-ASC team. Additionally, LeLeux spent three years as an instructor at D-BAT Abilene, a premier baseball and softball training facility, while also serving as an intern with the Abilene Christian softball program for one semester.  Originally from Cypress, Texas, LeLeux earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and forensic studies from Hardin-Simmons in 2016. She completed a master's of education degree in kinesiology, sport, and recreation from Hardin-Simmons in 2017. YEAR-BY-YEAR 2025: 13-24

Brooke Kinley enters into her first season as Assistant Coach of the Hendrix Warriors softball program in 2025. Kinley reunites with Head Coach Kara LeLeux after the two coached together at Covenant College in 2024. The Lexington, N.C. native graduated from Greensboro College in May 2023, earning a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Study with a concentration in Sport Management. While enrolled at Greensboro, Kinley spent time on both the women's basketball team and softball team.  During Kinley's senior year with the softball program, the Pride finished 33-10 and 14-4 in the USA South, which was good enough for second place in the conference standings. She had 26 hits and 12 RBIs for the year. In two seasons as a member of the women's basketball team, Kinley appeared in 25 games.  In the winter of 2022, Kinley was the Head Middle School Girls Basketball Coach at Greensboro Day School. She worked specifically with the girls to drive individual skills, competitiveness, and team cohesion.  Kinley has done mission trip work in her home state of North Carolina and abroad in Guatemala. In Morganton, N.C. she helped pack bags of non-perishable food items for those in need. While in Guatemala, she helped build a house for a family and volunteered at a local school to help with vacation bible school.

Betty Wolfe '25

Assistant Coach

Betty Wolfe '25 enters into her first year as an assistant coach with the Hendrix softball program after a four-year standout career with the Warriors in which she etched her name into the record book and garnered several major awards. Wolfe was named Hendrix's Woman of the Year after her senior season and was a finalist for both the SAA Woman of the Year and the NCAA Woman of the Year awards. She was a three-time All-SAA selection, including two first-team nods, as well an NFCA All-Region selection in 2025. Wolfe was also a four-time SAA All-Academic Honor Roll selection. Wolfe graduated from Hendrix with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in English: Literary Studies.
