Hilbert College Women's Basketball

Hilbert College Athletics and Associate Vice President for Student Life & Director of Athletics Tim Seil introduced Ben Arsenault as the next Head Women's Basketball Coach April 21, 2026. "We are very excited to welcome Ben to the Hilbert community," said Seil. "He brings a proven track record as a Division III head coach. Our Women's Basketball program has a history of winning, and I look forward to working with Ben to help lead us back to that level." Arsenault joins Hilbert after most recently serving as Head Women's Basketball coach at Keystone College, his Alma Mater. In his first year, he rebuilt the roster by recruiting 14 new student-athletes in a four-month span, guided the team to a 3.33 GPA, and led strategic fundraising initiatives. His work helped establish a strong foundation for long-term program success. In addition to leading the Keystone Women's Basketball Program, Arsenault also held the role of Head Women's Flag Football with the Giants. Prior to Keystone, Arsenault spent two seasons as head coach at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. During his tenure, the Eagles recorded 21 wins over two seasons, the program's best two-year stretch since 2018, and reached the conference playoffs in back-to-back years. Under his leadership, Spalding doubled its recruiting goals, enrolled 13 newcomers, developed four all-conference performers, and maintained a team GPA of 3.62 while earning national recognition on the WBCA Academic Honor Roll. "I am incredibly grateful to Tim Seil, the interview committee, and the administration at Hilbert College for this opportunity," said Arsenault. "It is an honor to lead this program. Arsenault also enjoyed a successful four-year stint at Vermont State University–Lyndon, where he led the program to the conference semifinals in his opening season, just the second time in program history. The team advanced to the postseason every year under his guidance, and Arsenault became the program's all-time leader in playoff wins. He developed three all-conference players and 12 all-academic selections. In 2020, he was named SAAC Coach of the Year. In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Arsenault has held leadership roles at the secondary education level, including head varsity girls' basketball coach and athletic director roles. A graduate of Keystone College with a bachelor's degree in Sport and Recreation Management, Arsenault is currently pursuing a master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Maine at Farmington. He is a member of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and brings extensive experience in recruiting platforms, program administration, fundraising, and student-athlete development.  

Jason brings to Hilbert sixteen years of serving as an adjunct and visiting professor at several institutions within New York and surrounding states including SUNY Fredonia, SUNY Oswego, American University, Southern New Hampshire, Gannon University, George Mason University and Clarion University to name a few.  He has previously taught in our Sport Industry Management program at Hilbert as well. Jason has experience with both face to face and online delivery modes in the areas of Sports Analytics, Sport Administration, Communication, Physical Education and Recreation.
