Andrew Rettig
Head Coach
Andrew Rettig enters his second season as a Co-Head Coach for the Women's Bowling program in 2025-26. He and Sara Snyder will continue to share duties guiding the Hawks after a successful first season that saw the duo lead the team to a pair of victories in the AMCC Postseason. The Hawks, in the third year of competition after the Covid-pause, qualified for the program's first AMCC Championship Tournament as the 5th seed and then rolled over their opponents into a 3rd Place finish. The team set a new traditional game record 911 vs William Smith and a 904 Baker against Bradford. Jenna Angle, the 2024-25 Hilbert College Female Athlete of the Year, became the program's first bowler to be named to an All-Conference team after earning AMCC Second-Team honors. Following the Hawks' postseason run, Paige Angle became the first Hawk bowler to be named to the All-Tournament Team. 2025-26 will be Rettig's third season overall with the Hawks after he served as an assistant coach from 2022-2024. The Hamburg, N.Y. native is a current member of the Professional Bowling Association and is a Staff Member of Hammer Bowling. Rettig has earned several impressive wins in his lifetime, most recently the PBA50 Sherry Bodkins Memorial Central Open in 2025, the PBA50 Fort Meade Open in 2023, the PBA50 Mel Westrich Memorial/Brunswick Central Open in 2022, the 75th Bowlers Journal Senior Singles Champion in 2022, and the PBA AMF Woodlawn Lanes Open in 2021. In addition, he found success at the Greater Buffalo USBC Open – Scratch Singles (2021), the Greater Buffalo USBC Open – Combine Scratch and Handicap (2018), New York State Doubles Scratch (2015), Greater Buffalo Open Team Scratch and Handicap (2014) and the Amateur Bowlers Tour (2009-2013) with eight wins..

Emily Brock
Assistant Coach
Emily Brock joins the women's bowling coaching staff following an accomplished collegiate career at both the Division I and Division III levels. A native of Orchard Park, New York, Brock developed into a standout bowler at Orchard Park High School, where she captured four Section VI Large School Women's Bowling Championships before graduating in 2022. Brock began her collegiate career at Medaille University during the 2022-23 season, competing at the NCAA Division III level before transferring to Niagara University and making the successful jump to NCAA Division I competition. At Niagara, she emerged as one of the top bowlers in the Northeast Conference and among the nation's elite collegiate competitors. During her senior season in 2025-26, Brock was named Northeast Conference (NEC) Bowler of the Year, earned First Team All-NEC honors, and was selected as the NEC Championships Co-MVP. She also received NEC Bowler of the Week recognition five times throughout her career. One of the defining moments of her collegiate career came at the 2026 NEC Championships, where she rolled a perfect 300 game. In addition, she collected multiple all-tournament team selections and tournament MVP awards throughout her time on the lanes. Nationally, Brock earned NTCA Second Team All-America honors and was recognized as a Storm International Bowling Media Association (IBMA) Second Team All-American. She was also a finalist for the prestigious Storm IBMA Collegiate Bowler of the Year Award, highlighting her standing as one of the nation's top collegiate bowlers. Brock graduated from Niagara University in 2026 with a bachelor's degree in Integrated Management and a minor in International Management. Beyond her competitive success, she has remained actively involved in the sport as a Director of the Greater Buffalo United States Bowling Congress (GBUSBC), demonstrating her commitment to the growth and development of bowling in Western New York.

Jessica Hoffman, Ed.D.

Jessica Hoffman is a sociologist whose research and teaching interests center on issues of inequality and social justice, asking questions of how social structures, dominant ideologies, and social interactions create and maintain social inequality. Her NSF-funded research explores disparities in healthcare decision-making among pregnant women across racial and socioeconomic statuses and the medicalization of birth. Her current research also includes analyses of college student’s perceptions of social justice advocacy.

Megan Witzleben, Ph.D.

Current Title: Associate Professor of English Megan Burke Witzleben is an Associate Professor of English. Specializing in material aspects of Victorian literature, she examines domestic environments as tools depicting interiority in the works of Charles Dickens, Charlotte Brontë, George Eliot, and E.M. Forster. In addition to teaching literature courses such as The City in Literature and The Novel, she has presented and published on such topics as homelessness in Victorian literature, women’s voices in architectural discourse, and teaching Dickens’s short stories. Current academic projects include articles on the British home during the age of Empire.
