Abraham's impact on the Charger softball program was immediate. In 2012, he guided the team to a winning record in his first season. In 2016, he led it to new levels of success.

Tristan Wilcox
Assistant Coach
Wilcox as its new full-time assistant coach. Wilcox began her duties in August 2015. In her first season, she helped lead the Chargers to a 27-13 record, their best in 25 years. The team's head coach, Joe Abraham, was named the GLIAC Coach of the Year. Wilcox comes to Hillsdale after spending her first two post-graduate years at her alma mater, Aurora University, where she worked as a graduate assistant for the softball team. She played for the Spartans at Aurora from 2010-13, where she put together a terrific career. A starting catcher for Aurora, Wilcox was named the Northern Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2013 and was twice named the Aurora University Female Athlete of the Year (2012, 2013). She was named First-Team All-Conference four times and First-Team All-Region three times. She also worked in the Aurora University sports information office for four years. She graduated from Aurora with a bachelors degree in fitness and health promotion in May 2013 and earned her masters in business administration in May 2015. She is certified in American Red Cross CPR, first aid and AED certified. She has extensive coaching experience in addition to her two years as a GA at Aurora, She was the Indiana Magic travel softball team head coach at four different age levels from 2010-13, and served as the coach for travel softball teams as part of Elite Sports Performance in Oswego, Illinois from 2013-15. Her ESP team in Illinois finished second at NSA nationals in 2014. A native of Lafayette, Indiana, Wilcox was a member of the IHSAA 4A state champion McCutcheon High School softball team in 2008.

Kate Ardrey
Assistant Coach
Ardrey joined the Charger softball coaching staff. She started in her role in June 2015. Ardrey, a native of Grove City, Ohio, will assist the staff in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, day-to-day practice set up and office work in addition to working with the program's pitchers. A four-year starter for Hillsdale from 2012-15, Ardrey was named Second-Team All-GLIAC in each of her last two years with the Chargers playing second base and pitcher. She had more than 100 hits and drove in more than 60 runs and scored more than 60 runs in her career. On the mound, she won 18 games and had 135 strikeouts in her tenure. She also worked in the college's sports information office for more than three years and will continue in that capacity in 2015-16. Ardrey attended Bishop Ready High School just outside Columbus, Ohio.
