Ryan Haigh

Head Coach

Haigh will enter his fourth season as a member of the Holy Family University mens basketball coaching staff in 2014-15.    At Holy Family, Haighs duties include recruiting coordinator, working with the perimeter players, advanced scouting and help head coach R.C. Kehoe with day-to-day responsibilities.   Prior to his return to his alma mater, Haigh spent two seasons (2008-2010) at Gwynedd-Mercy College serving as an assistant coach.  The 2008-09 squad won the CSAC Regular Season and Conference titles finishing with a 23-6 record.  The team advanced to the round of 32 in the NCAA Division III Tournament.   Haigh began his coaching career in the summer of 2007 as head coach of the 16U Philadelphia Patriots AAU team.  The team earned a bid to the AAU nationals coaching several future Division I players.   A graduate of Holy Family, Haigh earned his degree in Elementary education in 2006 capping a four-year playing career.  He earned All-CACC honors twice, including first team recognition in 2005.  Haigh finished his career with 1,679 points ranking fifth all-time in program history.  He also ranks in the record book in assists (416 - 9 th ), steals (174 - 5 th ), field goals made (572 - 6 th ) and three-pointers made (278 - 4th).   A native of Philadelphia, Haigh attended Father Judge High School and earned first team All-League honors in the Philadelphia Catholic League in 2002.

John Baron

Head Coach

Holy Family announced the hiring of John Baron as its Head Men's Basketball Coach in April 2025.      Baron arrived at HFU after building one of the most successful programs in the region over the last 22 seasons at Gwynedd Mercy University, where he compiled a 409-198 overall record and qualified for the postseason every year.    His teams participated in six NCAA Tournaments - advancing to Second Round on three occasions and the Sweet 16 once - and won 2020 ECAC Tournament. They were nationally ranked six times.   In league play, the Griffins were 256-94 and won six conference tournament championships.   Baron was a finalist for the Glenn Robinson National Coach of the Year in 2016, when he was named National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Atlantic Region Coach of the Year.    Additionally, he is a three-time Conference Coach of the Year, two-time Philadelphia Small College Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year and both an ECAC South and a City of Basketball Love Philadelphia Area Coach of the Year.    Baron has overseen the development of 44 All-Conference performers, seven All-Region selections and one two-time All-American.    In the classroom, 75 of his student-athletes have graduated during his 22-year career, with 20 earning NABC Honors Court recognition.  In addition to his coaching duties at Gwynedd Mercy, Baron has been an administrator and academic coordinator since 2009, which consisted of coordinating games and athletic events, assisting athletes in academic achievement, and monitoring academic progress of at-risk student-athletes and compliance.     He also immersed himself in the campus as a member of the Retention Committee, Assessment & Intervention Committee, Residence Life Task Force and Athletics Strategic Planning Committee.   Baron began his collegiate coaching career at Ursinus College, helping the Bears to a 16-9 overall record and postseason appearance in 1999-200, before spending two seasons as an assistant coach at Gwynedd Mercy, which included advancing to the postseason in 2001-02.    He also has experience at the international level, having recruited and coached for USA Athletes International and American International Sport Teams University.    Baron received his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from York College of Pennsylvania, before going on to earn his Master of Education in Curriculum, Instruction and Supervision from Penn State University.    He has served on the NCAA Men's Basketball Regional Advisory, including as an NCAA Game Administrator on three occasions, and is a member of both the NABC and the Philadelphia Small College Basketball Coaches Association.

Brian Corrado

Associate Head Coach

Brian Corrado joined the Holy Family University men’s basketball coaching staff as the associate head coach in the Spring of 2025.   Corrado comes to HFU after serving as an assistant to Head Coach John Baron for five seasons at Gwynedd Mercy University, where he was in charge of the defense.    He offers a wealth of basketball knowledge to the Tigers’ sidelines as a 28-year veteran of the local high school coaching circuit.   Corrado most notably spent 16 seasons as the Upper Moreland High School head boys’ basketball coach, after serving as an assistant for four years. There, he led the Golden Bears to 14 District 1 playoff appearances, a pair of Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) tournaments, and the school’s first and only District 1 title in 2013. He was also the director of the Upper Moreland High School Summer Basketball Camp from 1997 to 2013.   His other assistant coaching stints came at North Penn High School (2018-2021), Springfield Township High School (2014-2017) and Lansdale Catholic High School (1993-1995).   Corrado played collegiately and graduated from Moravian University with a bachelor’s degree in business management.   A native of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, he currently resides in Oreland, Pennsylvania with his wife, Amy, and their two children, Matt and Lauren.   Outside of coaching, Corrado has served as a business teacher at Upper Moreland High School since 1995.

Kevin White

Assistant Coach

Kevin White joined the Holy Family University men’s basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach for player development prior to the start of the 2025-2026 season.  White came to HFU after over 10 seasons in the same role on Head Coach John Baron’s staff at Gwynedd Mercy University, where he was responsible for player development and conducting workouts with players in both individual and group settings.   Originally from Gary, Ind., White brings a wealth of basketball experience as a player, coach, and skill development specialist. He was a guard at Division I Jackson State University from 2006-2008, winning the Southwest Athletic Conference (SWAC) Championship and making an NCAA appearance in his freshman year.   He would on to graduate with a Bachelor of Business Marketing degree from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas.    Post graduation, White played professionally in the IBL and PBL before heading to play in Brazil in 2014 in the Paulista League, where he led the league in scoring.   As a coach and player developer, White’s Pennsylvania roots tie him to current Souderton High School Athletic Director and former Ursinus standout and European professional Dennis Stanton, for who he coached youth camps for in the summers while in college.   In recent years he lived in Dallas, Texas as a player development specialist for Bridge Basketball Academy, helping develop some of the best young high school talent in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.   White has developed a reputation as a skill development specialist, most recently for Circle of Men Athletics, helping run combines in his hometown of Gary which focuses on helping eligible high school grads and college transfers receive basketball scholarships to various colleges and universities.

Richie Dunham

Assistant Coach

Richie Dunham joined the Holy Family men's basketball coaching staff as an assistant prior to the 2025-2026 season.   He joined HFU after coaching at his alma mater, Gwynedd Mercy University, under Head Coach John Baron, helping lead the team to a 21-5 record and developing players that are now overseas, including one currently playing in Portugal.   Dunham began his coaching career in 2021 as the head junior varsity girls’ basketball coach at Pope John Paul II High School in Montgomery County, Pa, where he also served as an assistant on the boys’ varsity team during the 2023-2024 campaign.   Prior to his coaching appointments at Pope John Paul, he played professionally for Ireland Basketball’s Killarney Cougars (2021) and Tralee Warriors (2022).   Collegiately, Dunham stands as Gwynedd Mercy University’s all-time leader in both free throws made (350) and steals (218), while ranking among the program’s top five in three-point percentage (.418), free throw percentage (.839), points (1,605), assists (384), field goals made (551), points per game (14.3) and 3-pointers made (153).   He was the 2016-2017 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Rookie of the Year and earned All-Atlantic East Conference (AEC) First Team honors in both 2018-2019 and 2019-2020, while leading the Griffins on respective runs to the NCAA and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Men’s Basketball Tournaments.

Ben Ostrow

Assistant Coach

Ben Ostrow joined the Holy Family University men’s basketball coaching staff as an assistant and video coordinator prior to the start of the 2025-2026 season.   Ostrow came to HFU after two seasons in the same role on Head Coach John Baron’s staff at Gwynedd Mercy University, where he was responsible for the breakdown and transfer of all game and practice film, the creation and implementation of scouting reports and game plays using film and analytics, creating digital playbooks, as well as assisting with player development and recruiting.   Gwynedd Mercy compiled a 38-15 record during his two years, including a program-best start 13-0 start to the season and an Atlantic East Conference Championship game appearance in 2024-25. That year he provided statistical insights to assist Coach Baron with the team’s offense by hand-tracking the team’s efficiency on a possession-by-possession basis. The Griffins finished that season ranked in the top five of offensive efficiency in all of Division III basketball according to d3sportsdata’s efficiency rankings.   Prior to joining the coaching staff at Gwynedd Mercy, Ostrow served in multiple roles within the men’s basketball program at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. After two seasons as a student manager for the Fighting Knights, he was promoted to director of basketball operations. In that role, he was responsible for the breakdown and transfer of all game and practice film, assisting the coaching staff in creating and implementing scouting reports and gameplans for all opponents, creating digital playbooks, and assisting in player development and recruiting. He also oversaw practice and gameday management as well as supervision of a team of five student managers.   Ostrow is contributor to Slappin’ Glass, a podcast and newsletter which explores basketball’s best strategies, ideas, and coaches. With Slappin’ Glass, he does video analysis for their weekly newsletter as well as creates exclusive “Deep Dive” video breakdowns for Slappin’ Glass Plus subscribers.   In the summers, he works with coaches Steve D’Agostino and Justin Cooper assisting with RocNation Sports NBA Pre-Draft Workouts, which have included NBA players Dylan Harper, Adem Bona, Ron Harper Jr., Andre Jackson Jr., Johnell Davis and 2025 NBA Champion Dillon Jones, as well as a plethora of other highly regarded prospects including Auburn’s Tahaad Pettiford, Alabama’s Taylor Bol Bowen, Kentucky’s Brandon Garrison, Arkansas’s Meleek Thomas and Paulo Semedo, Villanova’s Chris Jeffrey, Michigan’s Roddy Gayle Jr and Elliot Cadeau, among others.   In the summer of 2022, Ostrow worked with coach Kam Law as a skill development intern for A11 Sports NBA Pre-Draft Workouts including NBA players Bruno Caboclo, Gui Santos, DiDi Louzada and Cristiano Felicio.   He has also spent multiple years as an assistant coach for AllBall, a South Florida based travel basketball team on the Under Armour Circuit. With AllBall, he was responsible for scouting, recruiting, implementing offensive plays, and assisting in player development for their 2025 team. In the summer of 2022, he helped lead AllBall to second place in UA Rise 15u, which earned the team an invitation to UAA for 2023.   Ostrow graduated Cum Laude from Lynn University in May of 2023 with a degree in sports management.
