Scott Bintner
Head Coach
Bintner joined the Hunter womens swimming program in 2005, first serving as an assistant coach before being named the head coach in 2007-08. In four years at the helm, he has produced the program's sixth and seventh CUNYAC Championships, coached numerous All-Star and event champions and set many conference championship records. He was named CUNYAC Coach of the Year in 2007-078 following a stellar year. A 2001 graduate of Missouri State, the Kansas City native competed for the Bears mens swimming team, earning all-conference honors in 1997-98, was team captain for the 1999-00 season and was part of the Missouri Valley Conference Championship team in 2000. In addition, Bintner was an all-state swimmer all four years in high school, a four-time conference champion and was an all-state champion. He obtained a bachelor of fine arts in sculpture from Missouri State and later earned a master of fine arts in photography from the Pratt Institute in 2004. Prior to his time at Hunter, Bintner has served as an assistant with the Missouri State Aquabears, as well as over seven years with a Summer Swimming League in Kansas City. Bintner is currently a freelance photographer and lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Andrew Netti
Head Coach
Netti rejoins the staff as Co-Head Coach after being an assistant coach during the '99-'05, '07-'08 seasons and head coach from '05-'07. A native of Bronx, New York, Netti attended Hunter and graduated in 2001 with a degree in History with a minor in Education. He furthered his studies, pursuing a masters in Social Studies Education from Lehman College where he obtained his degree in 2006. While the Head Coach at Hunter from 2005-2007, Netti guided the team to two regular season championships and the 2006 CUNYAC championship. He was named Coach of the Year by the conference both seasons. No other swim coach from Hunter has won this award two times. His record those two seasons was 19-9, with a 10-0 record in the conference. Since returning in 2010, the team has compiled a 25-14 record, with a 14-4 mark against conference opponents. In his twelve seasons with the team, the team has won 6 CUNY Tournament titles, 8 Regular season titles and had 3 CUNY Scholar-Atheletes of the Year. Netti is currently a teacher of social studies for the NYC Department of Education at Lehman High School and has been there since 2002. He makes his home in the Bronx, NY. Michael Kokoszka
Assistant Coach
Kokoszka is in his fifth season as assistant coach of the womens swimming and diving team at Hunter College. Since coming to Hunter, he has assisted co-head coaches Andrew Netti and Scott Bintner in all facets of swim training and student-athlete development. Most recently, Kokoszka played an instrumental role in the team's 2015-2016 success that saw the Hawks garner a 10-3 dual meet record, capture the CUNYAC championship and break numerous school records along the way. Prior to his arrival at Hunter, Kokoszka served as assistant coach for two years at the Cross Island YMCA club team where he was a former YMCA National Qualifier. During his time there, the New York City native oversaw all aspects of the swim team and helped guide swimmers to YMCA State relay records and YMCA National time standards. Kokoszka graduated in 2009 from Columbia University with a B.S. in civil engineering and was a member of the NCAA Division I Lightweight Rowing team. He also competed in triathlon, becoming an Age Group All American, finishing as the fourth overall amateur racer at the NYC Triathlon in 2008 and as the Ivy League Champion at the same race in 2009.

Sasha Martell
Coach
Martell is in her first year as the pool coordinator after joining the Hunter College Athletic staff in October of 2012. In her current capacity, Martell creates and provides schedules for staff lifeguards and rental supervisors at Hunter College. She also assists the staff in the everyday recreational use and functioning of both Hunter North and Brookdale campuses. Martell supervises the on-duty lifeguards and pool hosts ensuring that the appropriate protocols are being followed as directed by the Recreation Director, Facility Manager, and the Board of Health while providing a proactive and engaging environment through consistent customer service. With over 16 years of competitive experience in Aquatics, Martell previously served as an assistant coach on the Hawks womens swimming and diving team during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. From 2005-2013, she instructed youths and teens on stroke mechanics for the YMCA of Greater New York. At the YMCA, she taught the fundamentals of swimming, equipped youth with skill building, implemented core values and prepared these individuals to become competitive athletes. A 2010 Hunter College graduate, Martell received her bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in sociology. She is a former Hawk student-athlete participating on the womens swimming and diving team from 2007-09, were she contributed to two CUNYAC Championships underneath coach Scott Bitner. In 2012, Martell was honored by the YMCA of Greater NY for the rescue of a long time member who suffered from Myocardial Infarction during his daily morning swim. Martell competed for the Flushing Flyers and the Boys and Girls Club of NY club swim teams. During her off time, Martell works with disadvantage kids in a DOE program called the Educational Talent Search Program. This program prepares children for the prospect of college, broadening their horizons and introducing them to healthy lifestyles, punctuality, commitment and determination. This program helps to manifest values and set priorities in their lives so that they are educated on what the future could hold for them, and that college can be a positive experience that can be achieved by them, comments Martell. Martell is NHA licensed Phlebotomist, American Red Cross Certification in Lifeguard Management, Lifeguarding, First Aid, Oxygen Administration, YSL swim instructor, and CPR. A native of Astoria, Queens NY, Martell is currently pursuing her goals to become a Registered Nurse at Beth Israel School of Nursing and is working to transfer into the RN program at NYU in 2014.
