Mary Kirchner
Head Coach
Mary Kirchner is in her first season as the Mighty Macs' head women's volleyball coach in 2025. Kirchner led the Mighty Macs to an 11-17 record (4-3 AEC) in her first season with the Mighty Macs. Despite the team starting the season 3-11, Immaculata finished the regular season 8-5 to claim a playoff berth. However, the Mighty Macs fell to Marywood in the conference semifinals. Paul Murphy, Immaculata University Director of Athletics and Recreation announced the hiring of Mary Kirchner as the Head Coach of women's volleyball. "Mary will do great things with our women's volleyball program," said Murphy. "Her past success at the high school level, her knowledge of the game and connections within the volleyball community will serve her well as she transitions to coaching at the college level. We are excited to welcome Mary into the Immaculata Athletics family and will support her in every way possible." Kirchner is no stranger to Immaculata having graduated from Immaculata in 1992. While at Immaculata Kirchner played basketball, and tennis for the Mighty Macs. Kirchner returns to Immaculata after spending the past three years as the Girls Varsity Volleyball Head Coach at Strath Haven High School. Under Kirchner Strath Haven finished in second place in the Central League each season and was the district 1 Championship runner-up in 2024. Kirchner served as Head Girls Volleyball Coach for the East Coast Power Volleyball club in King of Prussia from 2021-2023. Kirchner brings over twenty years of scholastic and youth coaching experience to Immaculata. Kirchner is a USAV Certified official, a PIAA Certified official, is USAV IMPACT trained, and has completed USAV Safe Sport training. Kirchner served as a USAV Official at the National Northeast Qualifier in 2022-23. Outside of coaching Kirchner is employed as an English as a Second Language Teacher in the Springfield School District, working with students from grades 2-12 since 2019. "As a graduate of Immaculata, I know first-hand what an Immaculata degree can do for students," said Kirchner. Bill Coddington
Head Coach
Bill Coddington is in his first season as the Mighty Macs’ head women’s flag football coach in 2026. Coddington is no stranger to the Immaculata flag football team, having served as an assistant coach for the Mighty Macs during their inaugural season in 2025 under previous head coach Joe Trainer. Coddington helped lead Immaculata to 6-8 overall record, and they were 5-5 in Atlantic East Conference (AEC) regular season play. Immaculata went 5-2 in their final seven AEC games to earn the fourth seed in the Atlantic East Conference Tournament. “We are excited to have Bill leading our women’s flag football program,” Paul Murphy, Immaculata University Director of Athletics and Recreation, said. “His knowledge and experience in the sport aided the success of our program, and we look forward to years of success with Bill at the helm of this quickly-growing sport.” Coddington started the girls' flag football program at Souderton Area High School and was Souderton's head coach the past two seasons. Coddington previously served as an assistant coach on three Suburban One Championship football teams at North Penn High School. Coddington was also an assistant coach at Souderton for basketball, football, and track and field. He was inducted into the North Penn / Souderton joint Hall of Fame as an athlete and coach in 2006. “I'm very grateful and excited for the opportunity to continue coaching flag football as the head coach at Immaculata,” stated Coddington. “It is a special place with a special group of athletes. Atlantic East flag football is extremely competitive. We had a successful run last year in qualifying for the playoffs. We have lost some key players to graduation, but we have talented returnees and a group of incoming players that are looking to jump right in. We are all ready to get back to work to keep building Immaculata flag football.” Coddington was a three-sport athlete in high school at North Penn, lettering in football, basketball, and track and field. He earned All Bux-Mont honors in all three sports. He played football collegiately at the College of Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. Coddington earned his B.S. in Secondary Education English from Shippensburg University in 1990. He earned his master’s degree in education from Gratz College in 2001 and his master's in educational leadership from Delaware Valley College in 2007. Coddington earned his Doctorate for Education Leadership from Immaculata University in 2016. Imani Uzzell
Assistant Coach
Imani Uzzell is in her first season with the Mighty Macs in 2025. Uzzell served as Assistant Coach for both the Women's and Men's Volleyball Teams at Harcum College from 2023-25. Served as Head JV Coach at the Academy of Notre Dame De Namur from 2023-25. She is currently a Head Coach with the Renaissance Volleyball Club, and was a Head Coach with the East Coast Power Volleyball Club from 2022-25. Uzzell earned her Associates of Science in Sports Management from Harcum College in 2021, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from West Chester University in 2023.

Derrick Luby
Assistant Coach
Derrick Luby is in his first season with the Mighty Macs in 2026. He will serve as the defensive coordinator. Luby has previous coaching experience in youth sports, such as football, basketball, baseball, and track and field. He attended Northeastern University and was on the football and track and field teams. Luby's accolades include: All-New England track North Penn High School Hall of Fame All-State football All-State track Tied 100 meters record (high school) Additionally, Luby played football, basketball, and ran track in high school. Luby has a bachelor of science degree from Northeastern.
