Gordon's first IU East team set school records for lowest stroke average and lowest 18-hole round. Gordon also helped Joey Smart become the first IU East golfer to qualify for the NAIA Men's Golf National Championships. Gordon's 2015 Red Wolves moved up one spot in the KIAC team standings and produced three all-conference golfers. The 2016 team won a pair of spring multi-team meets and continued the program's string of producing at least one all-conference golfer every year. Gordon is a Class A Certified Golf Professional. He was a three-year golf letterwinner at Ball State University and was a two-time Indiana state qualifier during his career at Union County High School. Gordon won the 1999 Indiana Golf Association Tournament of Champions and finished sixth at the 1996 Indiana State Amateur. "My experience as a two-time state qualifier in high school, successful NCAA Division I college golfer, and now as a professional golf instructor has given me the foundation necessary to develop a long-term successful program," Gordon said. "Not only have I dedicated my professional life toward the game of golf, I equally value the opportunity I have in being able to pursue this endeavor in the community from which I came. In truth, I feel IU East is one of the best assets available in our community and will have no trouble promoting the university and the golf program equally." Seth Biava is an assistant coach for the Indiana University East golf teams. Biava has more than 15 years of experience in the golf industry. He previously served as an assistant golf professional at Forest Hills Country Club in Richmond, at The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club in Fishers, and at Woodstock Club in Indianapolis. He was a volunteer coach for the inaugural year of Richmond's The First Tee program in 2010. He served as a volunteer assistant for the IU East women's golf program in 2014-15. Biava was a member of the Danville Area Community College men's golf team from 2002-2004. Danville was consistently ranked in the NJCAA Top 25 during Biava's career, including a No. 7 national ranking in the fall of 2003. Biava graduated from Indiana State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology. He served as a volunteer assistant for the Indiana State women's golf team in 2006.
