HuffmanPGA   Colby Huffman, Indiana's 2012 PGA Teacher of the Year, joined the IUPUI mens golf program in August of 2009, and directs the training and instruction for the Jaguar mens golf program.    Since joining the Jaguars, Huffmans success with players has translated to the IUPUI program. He has worked with three of the last four Summit League MVP's, Rob Van de Vin, Michael Davan, and Michael Powell, while the team has broken all 14 school records in that time.   In 2011-2012, he directed the training and instruction for the IUPUI Jaguars that shot the lowest single day tournament round of the year out of all NCAA Division 1 teams, shooting 265 (-19) at Primm Valley Golf Club in Nevada.  Also, in 2012, IUPUI won the most regular season tournaments (7) out of all NCAA Division 1 teams.   Colby served as a lead instructor for the Hank Haney IJGA from 2007-2009.  Prior to that, he worked with Gary Gilchrist at the IJGA (as Director of Training) as well as the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. During his time at the IJGA, Huffman worked with many top-ranked juniors and LPGA standouts such as Stephanie Meadow, In-Kyung Kim and Song-Hee Kim who both have been ranked in the top-15 in the LPGA Rolex World Ranking.   Song-Hee Kim, in particular, became the youngest woman to ever win a professional golf event in the United States (2006, prior to Lexi Thompson).   In addition to being the founder of TourXcel, and U.S. patent holder of the Hank Haney Swing Band, Huffman's students have won over 65 national and international championships under his guidance.  He was named Indiana's youngest ever PGA Teacher of the Year in 2012, and has been honored with recognition by Golf Digest in its selection of "Best Teachers State by State 2013+2014."   He was also a featured coach on The Golf Channels School of Golf in 2009 and is the only coach in the world to have developed two Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Award recipients in the same year (2008).  Both students were his full-time academy boarding students.  He has developed 8 Junior All-Americans, who were also his full-time boarding students, while helping to cultivate dozens of college scholarship athletes, as well. Huffman is a PGA Class-A member, a Certified Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Instructor, a Certified Club-fitter, a Performance Enhancement Specialist, and has obtained CC-AASP (Certified ConsultantApplied  Association of Sport Psychology) credentials.  He is currently completing his PhD specializing in Sport Psychology. A four-time Academic All-Big Ten student-athlete at Purdue University, Colby received the USAA All-American Scholar Award in 1999.  He graduated from Purdue where he studied kinesiology and biomechanics, before earning a Masters degree from Purdue in 2001 in sport business management and marketing.  Following his time in college, Huffman spent time playing professionally on the PGA Tour de Las Americas, Golden Bear Tour, Hurricane Tour and the Maverick Tour, where he competed against many of todays PGA Tour Members.  A native of Indianapolis, Ind., Huffman is a graduate of Carmel High School and lives on the north side of Indianapolis with his wife and two children.

Andrews guided the 2002 and 2005 mens teams to conference titles and NCAA Tournament berths. The 2004-05 Andrews-led team is the most successful to date. That squad set a school record for total wins with 108 and an amazing .706 winning percentage. Twenty three of the teams 44 losses came in the NCAA Regional. Andrews was named Mid-Continent Conference Coach of the Year for the second occasion. He also accomplished both feats in the 2001-02 season. During the 2000-01 season, Andrews squad had a .643 winning percentage (92-49-2), while 2003-04 team held the previous school record of 95 wins. All total, IUPUI teams have earned 15 tournament titles under Andrews watch, five of which came during the 2004-05 season. Thirteen of his mens student-athletes have earned All-Conference recognitions, including seven first teamers and one league Player of the Year. Hes also coached an Academic All-American (Justin Wenger) and the only Hall of Famer (Adam Darrow) in program history. Andrews is starting his tenth season as head coach of the IUPUI womens golf team. The Jaguars have made steady strides under Andrews, including setting a new school record for team stroke average in 2009-10 and notching the second-best winning percentage in school history at .422. Freshman Jordan Woods posted the lowest-ever stroke average by an IUPUI player, become the first to finish a season under an 80 average in the process. The program gained its first-ever tournament win in the spring of 2004 when it captured the Centenary Ladies Invitational crown. The second tourney win came in 2007 when the Jaguars won the Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Airport Colonial Golf Classic. Andrews has coached eight all-conference performers, including three first teamers.
